Infiniti QX60
With a starting price of $46,850, the new QX60 ultimately gave Infiniti a desirable mid-size luxury SUV to compete with its European rivals. Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph are the four trim levels available. I recommend the Sensory trim.
Premium amenities like second-row seats, a motion-activated automatic liftgate, and a 17-speaker Bose sound system are all included as standard equipment. All-wheel drive is an additional $2000, but most buyers will be satisfied with front-wheel drive.
Infiniti has replaced the old model’s CVT with a nine-speed automatic transmission in the 2022 QX60, which is still powered by a 295-hp V-6 engine from 2020. The new QX60 will have an all-wheel-drive option, although it will still be based on a front-wheel-drive basis.
The QX60 can tow up to 6000 pounds, which is a 1000-pound increase over the 2020 model’s towing capacity. It has seven seats and can go from 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and has a top speed of 120 mph.

1. BMW X5
There are three enticing powertrain options, luxurious interiors that are well-integrated into the vehicle, and a top speed of 173 mph to choose from in this car. There are five trim levels to choose from, with prices starting at $61,595. It tows 6,603 pounds when properly equipped, just above the QX60, and they’re both spacious.
The xDrive40i is the X5 to purchase if you want to save money without compromising functionality, and that’s why I recommend it. If you’re looking for a vehicle that can go from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds while still being affordable, this is the vehicle for you.
There are three separate powerplant options for the 2022 X5, each linked to a certain model. The turbocharged inline-six in the sDrive40i or xDrive40i badges generates 335 horsepower. An electric motor and a turbocharged inline-six make up the xDrive45e’s 389 horsepower.
Just four seconds later, it’s accelerating from a standstill to 60mph in the M50i. All three engines are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, which ensures that drivers will never be short of power, no matter the conditions.

2. Audi Q5
With a starting price of $44,495, the Audi Q5 boasts a stylish exterior, a well-equipped interior, and a wide range of options. From the most basic to the most luxurious, there are twelve different options to choose from. Automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel-drive are standard features in 2022 Q5 40. The turbocharged four-cylinder produces 201 horsepower. The 45 model has an additional 261 horsepower.
A similar starting price to the QX50, over 250 hp, close top speeds, and a stylish interior.
The Q5 45’s turbocharged four-cylinder provides enough oomph to zip across town or rocket down a freeway on-ramp, and it’s smooth, quiet, and poetic. The Q5 45 clocked in around 5.5 seconds to reach 60 mph on our test track. Adding an electric motor to the plug-in hybrid version boosts performance to 362 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to reach 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds.
The EPA expects the Q5 40 to get 23 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the motorway, while the 45 gets 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway. The electric-only range of the plug-in hybrid is 23 miles, while the combined fuel economy is 27 mpg. That’s 130 miles per hour.
3. Suburban
Cost: From $52,900 and fuel efficiency: 21 city/ 27 Highway with trim levels: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, High Country. Its top speed: 154 mph/ 248 km and 0-60 in 6.9 seconds while seating 8 to 9 people. The Suburban tows between 7,400 and 7,800 lbs.
Both the QX60 and Suburban are large, powerful, and provide a wide range of features.
Compared to Tahoe, the Suburban has a lot more space. The additional 121.7 cubic feet of luggage capacity afforded by the vehicle’s expanded wheelbase and body when the third and second seats are folded flat is remarkable. Just like the Tahoe, clients can fit eight people in the Suburban, or seven if they select the captain’s seats in the middle row, which are quite comfortable and convenient.
The Suburban comes standard with a 355-horsepower V8 engine. However, a 420-horsepower V8 can also be ordered.
4. Lexus GX 460
There are plenty of basic driver-assist features, a quiet cabin, and the ability to traverse off-road trails. Base, premium, black line special edition, and luxury are the four available trim levels, with the latter starting at $56,700. 110 mph is the top speed.
The 4.6-liter V-8 engine that powers the 2022 Lexus GX still makes 301 hp plus 329 pound-feet of torque. You’ll find this engine coupled with a 6-speed automated mechanism and all-wheel drive in this model’s lineup.
Lexus’s Kinetic Dynamic Suspension is basic, and this arrangement is designed to improve traction when driving off-road. The GX cruised from 0 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds during our tests. This all-wheel-drive SUV only gets 15/19 mpg city/highway according to the EPA.
5. Acura MDX
Equipped with the massaging chairs, the starting price of $58,400 is certainly worth it to me. With a top speed of 112 mph, the Acura MDX sprints to 60 mph in just 5.4 seconds.
Isn’t it snazzy looking, has a surprising amount of agility, and has a high-tech interior? In the cabin, you’ll find high-quality materials and amenities befitting an Acura. The standard engine is a 290-hp 3.5-liter V-6 mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, and AWD is an option.
But if you go for the Type S model, you’ll receive a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 and all-wheel drive as standard.
Rather than a nine-speed automatic transmission, the 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 in the exiting MDX is now paired with a 10-speed unit.
6. Buick Enclave
The Preferred, Essence, Premium, and Avenir trims are all available in the 2022 model, which starts at $42,800. A 3.6-liter V6 engine produces 310 horsepower and up to MPGs of 18 city/26 highway.
My favorite aspects of this vehicle are its attractive design and substantial standard technology, as well as its ample passenger and baggage room. Buick has improved the Enclave’s basic Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functions so that they may now be used wirelessly as well.
Every Enclave comes standard with a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 310 horsepower. An inconspicuous nine-speed automatic transmission allows it to drive either the front wheels or all four axles. To pull more than 5000 pounds, the Buick must be properly outfitted.
7. Nissan Pathfinder
When accelerating to 60 mph in the all-wheel-drive Pathfinder SL, it took just 6.6 seconds. With a V-6 engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission, purchasers can choose between front-wheel drive and the optional all-wheel drive. The 284-hp 3.5-liter V-6 from the prior generation Pathfinder is retained in the 2022 model, although it is now paired with a nine-speed automated transmission.
Towing and storage space are two of my favorite features of this seven-seater SUV with a quiet cabin. If you can afford it, I’d go for the SL trim, which starts at $35,105. The bigger 9.0-inch infotainment system, 360-degree video system, plus wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility are all included with the Limited trim level, up from the SV.
The $2,900 SL Premium package adds 20-inch alloys, a spectacular sunroof, a Bose car stereo, warmed back seats, plus wireless cellphone charging to the Pathfinder, turning it into a true luxury vehicle. The Pathfinder’s 6000-pound towing capability can be unlocked with this option.

8. Cadillac XT6
With this car, you can go up to 144 miles per hour. With the base turbo-four and 21/27 city/highway mileage estimates from the EPA, we can expect the 2022 XT6 to perform admirably. The V-6 engine is rated at 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway for V-6 models. With a starting price of $49,740, you receive an attractive exterior, a roomy cabin, and a wide range of high-tech options.
This year’s turbo-four XT6 is expected to get up to 21 mpg in the city, and 27 mpg on the interstate. The V-6 engine can achieve up to 19 city mpg and 26 highway mpg.
Turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder and V-6 engines will be available for the 2022 model year. They both come standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission and are available with either front or all-wheel drive.
Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport are all available in the XT6. Towing capacity for 2022 Cadillac XT6 models equipped with the optional 3.0-liter V6 engine is 4,100 pounds.
9. Lincoln Aviator
In addition to its good looks, this vehicle has a towing capacity of 5,600 to 6,700 pounds. With a total output of 494 horsepower, only the plug-in hybrid Grand Touring models are equipped with an electric motor.
I love that the basic package includes luxury luxuries such as massage seats, a 28-speaker premium radio, and a silky leather interior.
The starting price is $52,975, and there are four distinct trim options to pick from within that price range. Even though it’s smaller and less cumbersome to store than a huge Navigator SUV, it offers all of the same features. The Lincoln Aviator’s rear-wheel-drive model gets 18mpg city and 26mpg highway, while the all-wheel-drive model gets 17mpg city and 24mpg highway. In just 5.4 seconds, this car can go from 0 to 62 mph.
10. Toyota Highlander
This popular SUV starts at $36,620 with an MPG of up to 21 City / 29 Highway. It packs 295 hp from a 3.5 L V6 engine and can tug along a load of up to 5,000 lbs when properly equipped. The transmission is an 8-speed automatic with an AWD and FWD Driveline.
I like that the 2022 Highlander offers gorgeous styling, is accessible as a fuel-saving hybrid, and offers driver-assistance characteristics which come standard. With a top speed of 118 mph, it accelerates from 0-60 mph in 6.7 seconds and 7.3 seconds(hybrid).

11. Volvo XC90
The XC90 starts from $50,900, offering a fuel efficiency of 20 City / 28 Highway and trim levels: Momentum, R-Design, Inscription, Recharge Momentum, and Recharge Inscription. Its top speed: 143/mph and 0-62 in 5.8 seconds while seating 6 to 7 passengers. That Volvo tows 4,000 to 5,000 lbs.
Towing capacity, fuel economy, and interior space are all similar between the two cars.
Despite its 395 horsepower, the T8 can accelerate in an almost unnoticeable manner.
At 6000 pm, the compressed air fuel can get a little harsh, but other than that, the enormous power of the T8 gets little to no criticism.
In terms of acceleration, the D5 wins the cake, clocking in just 6.5 seconds from 0-60mph and achieving a top speed of 155mph. Just over one second slower than the T6, it is hardly sluggish in comparison to the two gasoline-powered automobiles.
12. Yukon
You pay $52,100 for the base Yukon and get the fuel efficiency of 21 city/ 27 Highway with trim levels: SLE, SLT, AT4, Denali. Its top speed: 107 mph/ 172 km and 0-60 in 6.2 sec while seating 8 passengers. The Yukon tows 7,500 to 8,500 lbs.
Seating, fuel consumption, and towing capacity are all quite similar to the QX60.
As an alternative to the Tahoe, I like the GMC’s Yukon and Yukon XL, which provide more options than the Tahoe does. A truck-like appearance, a long list of standard features, and the same engine options as the Tahoe combine to create this vehicle.
It is powered by a V8 engine that generates between 277 and 420 horsepower. The Yukon XL, like the Suburban, has the same proportion of interior space for both passengers and freight as the standard vehicle. The Yukon Denali variant has Magnetic Ride Control, which allows for a smooth ride.
13. Nissan Armada
The price starts from $48,900, offering fuel efficiency: 14 city/ 19 Highway and trim levels: S, SV, SL, Platinum. The Armada’s top speed: 130 mph/ 209 km and 0-60 in 5.9 sec while seating eight people. It tows 8,500 lbs.
Both QX60s can pull huge loads, are comfortable, and are priced and equipped similarly.
Autonomous emergency braking, front collision mitigation, and adaptive cruise control are all standard features on the Armada, which is something I appreciate.
The Armada’s V8 engine generates 390 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque, respectively. The Tahoe’s towing capacity is 8,500 pounds, whereas this vehicle is a smidgen lower.

14. Toyota Sequoia
You pay a starting price of $50,500 and her fuel efficiency: 13 city/ 17 Highway plus trim levels: Limited, Platinum, TRD Pro. The Sequoia top Speed: 115 mph/ 175 km and 0-60 in 6.5 sec while seating eight. It tows 7,000 to 7,400 lbs.
Seating capacity, highest speed, and interior space are all on par with the QX60s.
What I like: The Sequoia comes standard with Toyota Safety Sense P, which includes a suite of driver assistance features including front and rear parking sensors.
The Toyota Sequoia comes standard with a 5.7-liter V8 engine that produces 381 horsepower. No other vehicle can tow as well as the Sequoia, which boasts more than 120 cubic feet of cargo space when the second and third seats are folded down.
However, Toyota has updated its infotainment system with included Alexa, Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay integration to keep up with the times in the Sequoia’s interior.
