11 Cars Similar to the Audi A7

Cars Similar to the Audi A7

If you are in the market for a luxury sedan, I am sure that the 2022 Audi A7 has caught your attention. This stylish sedan combines a powerful V6 engine with 335 horsepower and all the perks of a comfortable luxury car. The A7 provides excellent cargo space and competitive gas mileage for the engine size, averaging 21/30 MPG.

Being a top-rated safety pick, the Audi A7 also carries on the tradition of being an extremely safe model. This car is safe, fast, and luxurious at a competitive price with a starting MSRP of $69,200. It is everything you could want in a luxury sedan.

But, if you, by chance, are looking to compare the A7 against some other luxury sedans, let me recommend the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Lexus ES, and the Kia Stinger. I feel that these three vehicles are some of the best options that compete with the A7. However, car buying is based on research.

So, here is a rundown of cars that are like the Audi A7.

1. Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz E-Class on a parking lot

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is one of the best values you can get in a luxury sedan. Like the Audi A7, the E-Class provides a smooth exterior, luxurious interior, and overall quality aesthetic. While this Mercedes does not have as much zip as the A7, it puts forth a respectable 255 horsepower.

And the major advantage of this luxury sedan is the price tag, coming in well under the A7 with a starting MSRP of $54,950. Despite having a four-cylinder engine, the gas mileage of 22/31 is not much better than larger-engined sedans. It seats five people, but it is not necessarily roomy inside the car.

Overall, this car is an excellent option due to its superb quality, style, and price.

2. Lexus ES

Lexus ES on the road

The 2022 Lexus ES may not be a European luxury vehicle like the A7, but this car provides a lot of the same perks at a great price. Like the A7, the Lexus ES has plenty of punch with its V6 302 horsepower engine. And, it is also highly rated in its safety standards.

I love this car due to its more modern and edgy body style. If you are looking for a classic-looking luxury sedan, the ES is not your car. The lines on this car make it look sleek and aggressive.

The vehicle boasts a decent 22/32 MPG and goes from 0 to 60 in six seconds. It also comes with a hybrid model that will boost the gas mileage to 41/42 MPG while diminishing the acceleration and power with the smaller hybrid engine. With a starting MSRP of $40,800, it is one of the most competitively priced luxury sedans.

However, the overall quality is not the same level as other more expensive sedans.

3. Kia Stinger

Kia Stinger on the road

The 2022 Kia Stinger is not necessarily classified as a luxury sedan, but it sure looks and feels like one. This car boasts 300 horsepower that travels from 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds. The Stinger comes equipped with a four-cylinder 2.5 L Turbo engine that averages 22/32 MPG.

And the car starts with an MSRP of $36,090. I mean, This car has it all for a fraction of the cost of many of the other vehicles on this list. The Stinger has similar power, fuel efficiency, safety, and interior space as the A7.

While the Stinger maybe makes a bit of a splash amongst the ranks of luxury sedans, the quality of materials and overall comfort is not similar to some of the other vehicles.

4. Lucid Air

The Lucid Air is the first completely electric vehicle on this list, and let me just say, this is a nice car. This car is similar to the Audi A7 because of its incredible, luxurious design, horsepower, and smooth ride. The Lucid Air flies down the road with 480 horsepower, reaching 0 to 60 in roughly three seconds.

The car can drive over 500 miles between charges and provides a smooth and luxurious ride. And the Lucid Air is also capable of coming with autonomous and semi-autonomous driving, which basically means the car can drive itself. This vehicle has a starting MSRP of $77,400. If you are looking for the luxury sedan of the future, then you have found it in the Lucid Air.

5. BMW 5 Series

The 2022 BMW 5-Series is a safe option for luxury sedan buyers. While the 5-Series will not jump out at you like others on this list, it is similar to the A7 due to its classic styling and comfortable interior. The BMW 5-Series provides 25/33 MPG and 248 horsepower with its 2.0 L four-cylinder engine.

The car travels from 0 to 60 in 5.8 seconds. The interior is truly luxurious and can seat five people comfortably. This vehicle has a hybrid option that drastically improves the gas mileage to around 63 MPG.

While this car is not necessarily eye-catching, it is a reliable and good luxury vehicle with a starting MSRP of $54,200.

6. Audi A6

Is it fair to put another Audi on a list of cars like the Audi A7? Well, I did anyway; the Audi A6 provides a lot of similarities to the slightly larger A7. This car offers fantastic luxury features, smooth driving, and high safety raitings like the A7.

But, the A6 has less horsepower and less interior space. The A6 uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that generates 248 horsepower and 23/31 MPG. This little engine will get from 0 to 60 in 6.1 seconds.

The starting MSRP of the Audi A6 is $55,900. While it may not be as flashy or powerful as the A7, it has a lot of the same aesthetic designs and is not quite as pricy. This car can check all your boxes as a luxury sedan option.

7. Tesla Model S

The 2022 Tesla Model S is another futuristic representative of luxury sedans. This car is similar to the A7 due to its sharp exterior,  eye-catching aesthetic, and luxurious interior. The Tesla Model S provides plenty of power with its 670 horsepower, going from 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds.

The car will travel 400 miles between charges and gets 115/107 MPG when using gas. This car comes with driver-assist standard features, but you must upgrade the vehicle to get a fully self-driving vehicle. Like the Lucid Air, this vehicle is pushing automobiles into the future.

You can get a Tesla Model S with a starting MSRP of $94,990

8. Volvo S90

If I could use one word to describe the Volvo S90, it would be timeless. This vehicle looks exactly like I imagine a Volvo ought to look. That may be a good thing for some, and others may not like it.

But, the distinct luxury car body style is slightly less boxy than in years past. The S90 uses a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that gets 23/31 MPG. The car will get from 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds and boasts 295 horsepower.

An electrical hybrid is also available that increases the gas mileage to 69 MPG when using both gas and electrical components. With a starting MSRP of $51,850, this car stands in the middle of the pack on price. While it may not be the flashiest vehicle of the luxury sedans, comfort and drivability are definite bonuses with this car.

9. Acura TLX

The 2022 Acura TLX is a flashy-looking luxury sedan. This car provides excellent safety ratings and features, smooth handling, and a strong engine like the Audi A7. I love the sportier look of this car.

If you want to get noticed driving down the road, take the TLX out for a test drive. The 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder engine is not the most powerful, with only 272 horsepower, and the fuel economy isn’t fantastic getting 22/31 MPG. However, buyers can upgrade to a V6 engine that improves the horsepower to about 350.

The V6 engine goes 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. One of the main advantages of the TLX is the starting MSRP of $44,450. This low price makes the TLX a fantastic value.

10. Genesis G80

Genesis G80 sport on the road

The Genisis G80 is like the cousin to the Audi A7. Both vehicles provide spacious and comfortable interiors, good horsepower, and a very classic luxury aesthetic on the exterior. The G80 uses a 2.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 300 horsepower and 23/32 MPG.

It will go from 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds. While the interior is fit for a king, the suspension on this vehicle has been deemed clunky. The clunky suspension does take away some of the comforts in the driving experience.

The car starts with an MSRP of $48,000. While it may not be the best option, the starting price still provides excellent value for this luxury vehicle.

11. Porsche Taycan

The Porsche Taycan is the last electric vehicle on this list. And it is a flashy car. While it may be slightly inferior to the other electric cars, Porsche has done well with their first stab at it.

The Taycan is fast, sleek, and stylish. However, the vehicle will only go around 200 miles between charges. This is the one deficiency to an otherwise fantastic car.

It boasts 480 horsepower and will get from 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds. The smooth handling and aesthetic associated with Porsche are all accounted for in this electric model. If you want a flashy luxury vehicle, and plan to stay close to your charging stations, then the Taycan would be the perfect car.
