Jaguar XF

There’s a lot to enjoy about this car, including the nicely finished cabin, responsive handling, and comfortable ride. We pick the P250S since it starts at $46,450 and is the most affordable of the three trims.

In the XF, there are two turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines available, each with a different level of power. Both the P250 and P300 versions have 246 horsepower, but the P300 has 296 horsepower. It’s only the less powerful of the two engines that can be ordered with RWD or AWD.

Incredibly quick from 0 to 60 miles per hour, the Jaguar XF has a top speed of 121 miles per hour and a 28 mpg combined fuel usage. A combined fuel economy of up to 25 city mpg and 33 highway mpg is claimed for the rear-wheel-drive XF. In the city, it gets 22mpg, but on the interstate, it gets 30mpg.

Cars Similar to Jaguar XF

To help you compare the XF to other luxury sedans, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorites. These are among the greatest rivals to the Audi A7 in my opinion.

The cars below share one or more features with the XF, from price to trim levels, fuel economy, top speed, and horsepower. Some might also be more or less luxurious. The following are the rivals:

1. Mercedes AMG-E53

Close up photo of black mrcedes car pgotographed outside.

Beginning at $76,050, the Mercedes-AMG E53 from 2022 delivers both sportiness and luxury, making it a fascinating vehicle in its own right. It only comes in one trim.

This 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine, which is customized by AMG, produces 429 hp plus 384 lb of torque. A 9-speed automatic transmission, as well as a 4Matic AWD, are the only available options. The steering wheel’s paddle shifters allow the driver to adjust ratios manually at any time. To get to 60 miles per hour, the car needs just 4.1 seconds. It can go as fast as 155.2 miles per hour when fully loaded.

Coupe and convertible versions of the E53 receive ratings of 21 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, while the sedan gets a mpg of 22 city/29 on the highway.

2. Genesis G80

On the outside, the Genesis G80 has a classic luxury look and feel, with a roomy interior and plenty of horsepower. There are 300 hp and 23/32 mpg on offer from the 2.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine in the G80.

It has the same starting price, engine options, and all-wheel-drive options as the Jaguar XF, which it shares. All-wheel-drive, rear-wheel drive and Sport AWD are all available.

It has a 0-60 mph time of 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 155 miles per hour. The inside of this vehicle is royal, yet the suspension has been termed clumsy. Some of the driving pleasure is lost due to the sluggish suspension.

MSRP for the vehicle is $48,000. Even if it isn’t the greatest choice, the initial price for this luxury car still offers excellent value.

3. Mercedes E-Class

The Mercedes Benz E-Class sedan in 2022 is among the greatest values you get from a luxury car on the market. In terms of aesthetics, the E-Class boasts a refined exterior, plush interior, and a high level of refinement. There are three model options available for this Mercedes-Benz, all of which produce a decent 255 horsepower.

Starting at $54,950, this luxury sedan’s MSRP is a key selling point. Despite its four-cylinder engine, the 22/31 sedan’s gas consumption is comparable to that of larger cars. It has room for five people. However, it’s not particularly spacious inside the vehicle.

As reported by Mercedes, the E 350 and E 450’s top speed in 2022 will be 130 mph. It takes 6.1 seconds for the E350 to go from zero to 60 mph, while the E450 achieves it in just 4.7 seconds.

This car is a great choice all around because of the high level of quality, design, and affordability it offers.

4. Lucid Air

You shouldn’t go wrong with the Lucid Air, which is our first all-electric vehicle on the list. The interior of this vehicle is exquisite, and it provides a comfortable ride. The 480-horsepower Lucid Air can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in three seconds flat.

Dream Edition Performance is the top-of-the-line model with 1111 horsepower, followed by Dream Edition Range with 933 hp, Grand Touring with 800 hp, and Touring with 650 hp.

With a single charge, the vehicle can travel more than 500 miles. And the Lucid Air can also be equipped with self-driving and semi-driving abilities, which indicates the car can take control of itself.

There is a starting price of $78,400 for this vehicle. If you’re seeking a future-forward luxury sedan, the Lucid Air is your answer.

5. Tesla Model S

A photo of blue coloured tesla model s drives on a beach side.

One more futuristic luxury vehicle is the Tesla Model S of 2022. The outside of this car is razor-sharp, and the interior is opulent.

With 670 hp, the Tesla Model S can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.9 to 3.1 seconds, depending on the trim level you choose. The Model S has a top speed of 175 mph and five different trim packages to choose from.

The automobile can go 400 miles on a single charge, and it scores 115/107 MPG on the highway while it’s running on petrol. Although this automobile comes standard with driver-assist technologies, an upgrade is required to make it fully self-driving. This car, similar to the Lucid Air, is paving the way for the future of transportation.

Starting at $94,990, you may buy a Tesla Model S.

6. Porsche Taycan

This list of electric vehicles ends with the Porsche Taycan. The automobile is a showpiece, too. Despite its shortcomings, Porsche’s first foray into the electric vehicle market has been a success.

The Taycan is a sporty, svelte, and fashionable vehicle. Only about 200 miles can be covered between fill-ups. This is the only flaw in a superb vehicle. 4S, Turbo, Turbo A, and Turbo A are the trim levels with a top speed of 162 mph each. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds, but only seats four.

The 480-horsepower Taycan can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5.1 seconds. In an electrified Porsche, you’ll get all the smoothness and style you’ve come to expect from the brand. Taycan is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a showy luxury vehicle and want to stay near charging facilities.

7. Audi A7

A brand new photo of audi a7 on a dirty road.

Surely, the 2022 Audi A7 has piqued your interest if you’re in the market for a luxury sedan. This elegant sedan features a 335-horsepower V6 engine and all the comforts of a luxury automobile. The A7 gets 21/30 MPG on average, which is outstanding for a vehicle of its size and engine size.

The A7 Sportback Quattro goes from rest to 62 mph in 5.7 seconds thanks to a 2 Liter turbo 16v Inline 4 gas engine supported by electricity. In addition, it can reach a top speed of around 155 miles per hour. Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige options are available for the A7.

The Audi A7 continues the legacy of being a very safe car by being a top safety pick. With a starting price of $69,200, this vehicle is safe, fast, and luxurious. It has every feature a high-end sedan should have.

8. Audi A6

The Audi A6 shares many features with the slightly bigger Audi A7. As with the A7, this vehicle delivers excellent luxury features, a comfortable ride, and excellent safety ratings. It comes in three different trims.

However, the A6 has a lower top speed and a smaller cabin. The A6 has a 248-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 23/31 highway/city miles per gallon. 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph may be achieved by this small engine.

As a starting point, the MSRP for the Audi A6 is $55,900. Although it lacks some of the A7’s sparkle and power, it shares many of its aesthetic aspects and is less expensive than the A7. If you’re looking for a high-end sedan, this one will do the job for you!

9. 2022 BMW 5-series

A photo of brand new car bmw 5 series alone in praking space.

Buying a BMW 5-Series luxury vehicle in 2022 is a safe bet. The 5-Series isn’t as eye-catching as some of the other vehicles on this list, but it does have a classic design and a plush interior. The 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine in the BMW 5-Series delivers 25/33 mpg and 248 hp.

The time it takes to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.8 seconds. The top speed of this series is 130 mph. Five passengers can be comfortably seated in the sumptuous interior. The hybrid version of this vehicle gets up to 63 mpg on the highway.

The beginning MSRP of $54,200 makes this automobile a good luxury option, even if it isn’t very eye-catching. There are six trim levels to choose from. All have the same basic features, but a significant difference is found in the engine.

10. Volvo S-90

Front view of brand new black volvo s 90 tested in a motor show.

The Volvo S90, in my opinion, is a vehicle that will never go out of style. In my mind, this car looks just like a Volvo should look. For some, this may be a positive thing; for others, it may be a bad thing.

However, the distinctive body form of luxury cars is less boxy than in previous years. For 23/31 MPG, the S90 has a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. With 295 horsepower, the automobile can accelerate from rest to 60mph in 5.6 seconds. This vehicle has a top speed of 155 mph.

There are a total of five trim levels to choose from. A four-cylinder turbocharged and supercharged engine powers the B6 models’ AWD system through an eight-speed automatic transmission.

A 69 MPG electric hybrid is also an option, and it utilizes both gas and electricity to boost the vehicle’s gas mileage. The starting price of this vehicle is $51,850, which is in the center of the group. Though it might not be the most flamboyant of the luxury vehicles, this car’s comfort and ease of use make up for that.

11. Lexus ES

A photo of luxury lexus es car in a dark studio.

There are many similarities between Lexus’s ES and Audi’s A7. However, the ES comes at a far lower price point. The 302 horsepower V6 engine of the Lexus ES provides plenty of power. Moreover, it has received great marks for the quality of its safety features.

There are four trim levels available for the Lexus ES. It’s possible to get up to 131 miles per hour in the ES 350.

Because of its more contemporary and edgy exterior, this vehicle is one of my favorites. The ES isn’t the car for you if you’re searching for a classic-looking premium sedan. This car has a slick and aggressive appearance thanks to its angular lines.

The car’s 22/32 MPG and six-second 0-60 time make it a good choice for city driving. There’s also a hybrid version, which increases fuel efficiency to 41/42 MPG while decreasing acceleration and power.

It’s among the most affordable luxury sedans on the market, with a basic price of $40,800. Still, the quality is lower than that of more costly sedans.

12. Kia Stinger

Front view of blue coloured kia stinger car in the underground parking lot.

Even though it’s not classed as a luxury car, the 2022 Kia Stinger appears to be one. With a top speed of 167 miles per hour, this car can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.7 seconds!

The Stinger is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with an EPA-estimated 22/32 mpg. Additionally, the car’s MSRP is $36,090. I mean, compared to the other automobiles on this list, this one is a steal.

The Stinger indeed makes an impression among the luxury sedans, but the materials and comfort levels aren’t up to snuff.

You may choose from four different trim options for the Kia Stinger. If you’d like to add some extra features like a sunroof and an 8-way power-adjustable passenger seat, you can do so in these trims.

13. Acura TLX

Close up photo of white acura tlx in international auto show.

This year’s Acura TLX is a slick-looking, high-end luxury car. The Audi A7’s powerful engine, fluid handling, and good safety ratings are all included in one vehicle. This car’s sportier styling appeals to me.

You’ll get seen on the road if you take the TLX out for a spin. Fuel economy isn’t stellar at 22/31 MPG, and the 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder engine isn’t particularly powerful at 272 horsepower. V6 engines are available as an option, increasing horsepower to roughly 350

The V6 engine has a top speed of 173mph and a 0-60 time of 5.1 seconds. The TLX’s initial Cost of $44,450 is one of its most notable advantages. The TLX is a wonderful bargain at this low price point. You can choose from four different trims.

Front and back sensors, blind-spot detection, and reverse cross-traffic warning are all included in the Technology model and higher. The NHTSA gives the TLX a 5-star safety assurance score and names it a Top Safety Pick.
