Lincoln Corsair

The Corsair, Lincoln’s best-selling vehicle, is no surprise. With its high luxury quotient, the cabin of the compact luxury SUV is pleasant, nicely designed, and reasonably priced.

The turbo 4-cylinder 2.0-liter is the base engine, while over 300-horsepower turbocharged I4 is the Sport model. Sport, on the other hand, is nothing more than a marketing ploy.

The Corsair’s primary goal is to provide a calm cabin and a peaceful ride. Therefore, the car’s steering is accurate and the body roll is minimized.

The Grand Touring plug-in hybrid also comes with all-wheel drive as standard and an amazing range of 28 miles on electric power alone. AWD is standard on all but the lowest Corsair grade, which comes with front-wheel drive as standard.

The inside of the 2022 Lincoln Corsair boasts a sophisticated style and high-quality materials. The front seats have plenty of head- and legroom, and the sliding backseats make it easy to accommodate passengers or baggage of various sizes, including 6-footers. It has a cargo capacity of roughly 58 cubic feet when all the seats are folded down.

CoPilot360 1.5 offers emergency braking,  a backup camera, lane-keeping assist, and blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert.

With a top speed of 153mph, the vehicle can tow 2000 pounds. According to the trim, it takes between 6.0 and 7.3 seconds to get from zero to 60mph.

1. Porsche Macan

Luxurious Porsche Macan in a skyblue colorway spotted parking outdoors at the street in Baku Azerbaijan.

The Macan is one of my favorite sports utility cars since it has greater room for people and their things. For $54,900, Porsche introduces the Macan, a handsome, sporty, capable off-roader.

While a new all-electric version of the Macan is in the pipeline, diesel models were discontinued in 2018. For the first time, a performance-oriented Macan T model will be released in 2022, making it more accessible.

The Macan S is powered by a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. For racing purposes, it has 375bhp and a 0-62 mph time of just 4.6 seconds. In the city, you can go up to 169 mph, and on the interstate, you can get 25 mpg.

Despite the Macan GTS’s 434 horsepower, it takes only 4.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph. Even some of the best-equipped sports sedans aren’t comparable to the Macan’s handling.

The AMG-tuned 3.0-liter inline-six engine delivers 429 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque. Only a 9-speed automatic transmission and a 4Matic AWD system are offered.

Adjusting gear ratios is easy by using the paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The automobile just takes 4.1 seconds to reach 60 mph. When fully laden, it can reach a top speed of 155.2 miles per hour.

It obtains an mpg rating of 21 city/28 highway for the coupe and convertible versions of the E53, while the sedan gets 22 city/29 highway.

3. The BMW X3

Comfort, technology, and real driver appeal are all present in the new BMW X3. There is no need to spend a fortune to appear and feel like a high-end model. The pricing range begins at $42,700. There are faux leather interiors and glossy black or aluminum accents in all versions.

Corsair and BMW X3 have a 2.0-liter engine with similar power and torque figures, making them a good match. Standard on all models, even the entry-level xLine and M Sport, is the iDrive infotainment system, which includes the digital gauges from BMW Live Cockpit Plus as well as a backup camera.

An 8-speed automatic transmission plus xDrive AWD are standard equipment on every X3, giving it exceptional off-road ability.

The 2.0-liter, as well as 3.0-liter 30d engines, are available for individuals who prefer diesel, with the latter producing 282bhp.

Each model includes a 335-horsepower diesel powerplant and a 355-horsepower 3.0-liter turbo gas engine, respectively. In fewer than five seconds, the car goes from 62mph to 174mph.

4. Genesis GV70

3D illustration of a black Genesis GV70 in the road with tall building in the background.

This is the brand’s initial SUV, and they did an excellent job. The two powerful engines, luxurious cabin, and unexpected agility of the chassis are some of my favorite aspects of this car.

AWD and 8-speed automatic transmission is standard on all GV70 vehicles, with the option of a turbo 2.5-liter 4-cylinder or a twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

The GV70 is a bargain participant in the congested luxurious compact SUV market because it employs the customary Genesis philosophy of filling even the lowest variants full of luxury goodies.

When it comes to the automatic 2.0L 8 SP along with the 2.9L 8 SP, their transmissions and engine capacities differ. The horsepower spans 280 to 505. It took the GV70 with the V-6 4.9 seconds from zero to 60 miles per hour, with a top speed of 150 mph.

Although the GV70’s starting price is reasonable, we believe that the advanced trim is worth the additional cost. For that, you’ll get a heated steering wheel and leather upholstery, as well as a plethora of driver-assist technologies, including remote self-parking.

A turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the most efficient GV70 variant, according to the EPA, delivering 22 mpg city and 28 mpg highway. There are 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway for the twin-turbo V-6.

5. Volvo XC60

Front side view angle of a brand new Volvo XC60 in metallic blue colorway in display at the Geneva International Auto Show.

A starting price of $43,745 includes a stylish interior and exterior, efficient powertrains, and driver-assist technologies.

You can choose from seven different trim levels for the XC60, but I’m intrigued by the R-sporty Design because of its sporty appearance and the T6 engine’s snappy performance.

It’s certainly worth the extra money above the Momentum base trim due to the several features that are now included as standard.

Automatic 4-zone climate control, better alloy wheels, and Harman/Kardon audio are all available in the R-Design trim level.

According to EPA estimates, city fuel economy for the FWD B5 will be 22 mpg and highway fuel economy would be 28 mpg. While the more powerful B6 gets 21/27 mpg city/highway/combined, the T8 gets 63 MPGe.

The B5, B6, and T8 powertrains for the Volvo XC60 all include all-wheel drive and 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.

With a turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 48-volt hybrid network, the B5 produces 247 horsepower. A 295-horsepower supercharger is used in the B6’s powertrain.

T8 PHEV uses the B6’s engine and an electric motor to produce 455 horsepower in the Recharge trim. It can tow up to 3500 pounds and reach 60 mph in 6.9 seconds. Its top speed is 130 mph.

6. Volvo XC40

Elegant looking white Volvo XC40 in display at the Brussels Auto Show 2020.

I love how quick it is, how classy it appears on the interior and exterior, and how thoughtfully planned the storage compartments are. In terms of price and functionality, Volvo’s Recharged XC40 and Ultimate XC40 are very similar.

All-wheel drive is available as a basic feature and is available as an option with the vehicle’s 402 horsepower electric motors. It can go from 0 to 60 mph in a little over five seconds.

Additionally, the inside is similar to that model thanks to novel storage options and a state-of-the-art infotainment system powered by Google.

A single charge of 225 kilometers can be expected from a 75-kWh battery pack. At 3,970 pounds in weight, the C40 Recharge will compete with a growing number of premium small electric SUVs.

2022 Q5 40 comes standard with Quattro AWD and an automatic transmission. One hundred one horsepower is generated by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The additional 261 hp in the 45 variant makes it a better choice.

It has the same amount of power and smoothness as Corsair’s engine.

The turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the Q5 45 is powerful enough to get you from point A to point B quickly, but it’s also refined, quiet, and poetic.

On our test track, the Q5 45 achieved 60 mph in roughly 5.5 seconds. To achieve a top speed of 60 mph in under 4.5 seconds, the plug-in hybrid model gains an electric motor for 362 hp plus 369 pounds-feet of torque.

There’s an EPA estimate for city/highway of  23 mpg and 29 mpg respectively for Q5 40 plus a 23 mpg city-to-highway average for Q5 45. Plug-in hybrids can travel 23 miles on electric power alone. The top speed is 130 mph.

8. 2022 Alfa Romeo

Classy Alfa Romeo 2022 model in a red colorway parked outside a building entrance.

Between $77,990 and $288,000 is the starting price range for the five trim levels offered by Alfa Romeo. You should get a fuel efficiency of 6-8.4 liters per 100 kilometers.

Among the available options are Gtam (the top trim level), GTA, Quadrifoglio, Sport, and Veloce. The 0-60 time for the five-passenger 2022 Giulia Quadrifoglio is 3.8 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 191 mph.

Like the Volvo XC60, this vehicle is secure and capable of great speeds and handling in the corners.

To me, this car has a better cabin feel and is now more cost-effective than when it first came out. That’s a huge plus for me! A five-star safety rating is also awarded to it. With a sporty exterior and a state-of-the-art, great quality audio/video system, this car is ideal for commuting every day.

It can do stuff the C-class sedan can’t, like accelerate quickly and have a superbly well-insulated cabin.

This car is best suited to those who prefer the finer things in life. Turbocharged four-cylinder power and nine-speed automatic transmission combine in this model to produce 255 horsepower.

For those who want 4Matic or all-wheel drive, there is an option for that. But at least it’s pleasant to ride in. In 5.4 seconds, the AWD model can reach speeds of 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour).

10. Lexus NX

Grey Lexus NX in display at the Jakarta Auto Week automotive event open for market buyers.

The Lexus NX plug-in hybrid is a stylish SUV with a lot of potential as a company vehicle. When paired with an electric motor, the NX 300h can go from zero to 60 in 9.2 seconds and can hit a top speed of 112.

With a windscreen that is more slant than the prior generation and LED headlamps the 2022 model is an altogether new look.

A starting price of less than $40,000 might be a bit basic for a few indulgent car buyers for the new NX. 275 horsepower is available from the new 2.4-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine in the mid-range AWD NX350. You might wish to think about adding the Luxury package to your order.

11. Acura RDX

Acura RDX in a maroon colorway in display at the North American Auto Show in Detroit.

In addition to its excellent build quality and dependability, the Acura RDX’s interior is a pleasure to spend time in. The 2022 Acura RDX has only one engine option: a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder.

Despite this, the small crossover has plenty of power. A 6.6-second acceleration from zero to 60 mph, and a maximum 113-mph top speed, are among the car’s capabilities.

In terms of fuel economy, storage room, optional AWD, plus NHTSA 5-star safety ratings, it’s very similar to the Lincoln Corsair.

Even while the RDX’s interior isn’t revolutionary, it’s a lot quieter and more comfortable this year. In terms of legroom, it’s among the greatest in its class, with 38 inches of legroom in the back seat.

In addition to a motorized panoramic roof, keyless entry and ignition, simulated leather upholstery, heated and 12-way power-adjustable front seats, dual-zone temperature control, and an excellent multimedia system, the standard equipment are ample.

Automatic emergency braking and pedestrian recognition are included in the forward-collision warning system, as are blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alerts, as well as adaptive cruise control.
