2022 GMC Acadia

In fewer than six seconds, this car can drive from zero to sixty miles per hour (zero to 131 mph). GMC has discontinued the Acadia SL trim level and the 2.5-liter inline-four engine this year.

To compensate, Acadia’s SLE model now costs $35,995, up from the previous base price of $34,995. Additional features are now included as standard equipment for the SLT, Denali, and AT4 trims, and a new paint color, Light Stone metallic, you can get as an aftermarket option.

An optional 228-hp turbocharged 2.0-liter engine has been added to the SLE and SLT variants for 2015. 3.6-liter V-6 and all-wheel drive are available on the SLT.

The V-6 engine and all-wheel drive are standard on the AT4 trim level, which is intended for off-road use.

The Denali comes standard with front-wheel drive, a 2.0-liter engine, and chrome trim. A fully equipped Denalis with the V-6 engine and all the extra features can cost up to $55,000.

The following SUVs have various similarities with the Acadia, from speed to horsepower, torque, seats, and towing capacity.

1. 2023 Kia Telluride

Front side view angle of the all new 2023 mode Kia Telluride in gray colorway with a lady driver.

I truly enjoy the extra room in the middle row. Access to the third row is made easier by second-row seats that fold as well as slide. Starting at $35,000, there are six different trim levels to pick from.

For the price, Telluride’s standard features are equivalent to those in sport utility vehicles that cost twice as much. The quiet interior, fluid V-6 engine, and confident handling combine to create a relaxing driving experience.

Light boats can be towed by the Telluride, which has a towing capacity of 5500 pounds. The V-6 engine and eight-speed automatic transmission are standard on this vehicle.

Although it has a wheelbase of 114.2 inches, the second-row seats are some of the most comfortably sized in the segment. It takes 7.1 seconds to sprint to the 60 mph mark. Off-roading is a breeze with its 5500-pound towing capacity and 8.0-inch ground clearance.

Naturally aspirated V-6s provide 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque in every Telluride. You can get an 8-speed automatic transmission for the front wheels as an option on every model.

2. 2023 Hyundai Palisade

The most awaited and the all new 2023 Kia Telluride in metallic black colorway in display at the New York Auto Show.

My preferred Hyundai Palisade features are the USB ports in the back seats and the mesh phone holsters, both of which are included in the $35,000 starting price as standard equipment.

For example, there are two sunroofs and lane-keeping assistance as standard features, as well as wireless phone charging. Iron can withstand a maximum weight of 5000 pounds before it begins to corrode.

The EPA rates the front-wheel-drive model’s fuel economy at 20 mpg throughout the city and 26 mpg along the highway, making it the most fuel-efficient model. When driving on the highway, all-wheel-drive models get a combined 19mpg city and 24mpg highway.

Powered by an eight-speed automatic transmission, the Palisade is capable of producing 291 horsepower. While its wheelbase is 144.2 inches, the Palisade’s second-row seats are some of the roomiest in the car.

Additionally, you’ll get dual sunroofs as standard equipment in a Palisade Limited. At 135 miles per hour, the Palisade can reach 60 miles per hour in 6.9 seconds.

3. 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

For a starting price of $43,520, you’ll get a well-equipped interior, a roomy third row, and excellent off-road performance. My favorite of the three new colors in Midnight Sky. Our top pick for 7-passenger capacity is the Limited, which comes in at a reasonable price and offers a wide range of amenities.

It can tow up to 7200 pounds, depending on the trim level. It gets 19 city mpg and 26 highway mpg while it’s in front-wheel drive, whereas AWD loses just one mpg.

Jeep offers a broad array of capability-enhancing features, such as three different types of all-wheel drive, an array of display screens, and a bevy of driver-assist features that come standard.

In addition to the 290-hp V-6 and the 357-hp V-8, the Grand Cherokee L is available with 8-speed automatic transmission. When going from 0 to 60 mph, a V-8-powered car takes 6.2 seconds, whereas a V-6-powered car takes 8.0 seconds.

4. 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee

With a starting price of $38,322, the all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee features a spruced-up interior and exterior as standard equipment. High-end vehicles include several tempting features, including a generous basic safety kit as well as a comfortable interior.

Compared to AWD, the rear-wheel drive delivers 19 mpg throughout the city and 26 mpg on the interstate in this five-seater.

You may also get a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a V8 or plug-in hybrid powerplant instead of the standard V6. There is a V6 as well as a PHEV available. A top speed of 180 mph can be achieved by this vehicle.

When outfitted with a higher-end package, the Grand Cherokee appears more like a high-end SUV. At a press conference, Jeep said the Cherokee’s towing capacity was up to 7200 pounds.

To put that into perspective, the Honda Pilot starts at $36,830. It has a total volume of 109.2 cubic feet, making it a market leader.

When not transporting cargo, the SUV can accommodate up to eight passengers in comfort. Towing up to 5000 pounds is conceivable, as is an MPG of up to 20 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The 0-60 mph sprint takes 6.3 seconds, and the top speed is 130 mph.

The Pilot’s standard engine is a 3.5-liter V6. Interstate driving is no problem for the Pilot’s 281-horsepower V6 engine. This tiny SUV appears to have a smooth interstate ride thanks to its controlled motions and quiet cabin.

New off-road capabilities have been added to the Pilot TrailSport for the 2022 model year.

6. 2022 Kia Sorento

The most awaited 2022 new model of the Kia Sorento in a white colorway.

Starting at just $29,490, you can choose from one of the 12 different trim options. The four-cylinder turbo 2.5 liters inline powertrain is an available engine option. Except for the hybrid, all of the other versions come standard with an automatic transmission.

Inside and out, it’s a sight to behold, with a wide range of engine options, a smooth ride, and room for five passengers.

The Sorento has three powertrain options: two four-cylinder engines plus a hybrid. Non-hybrid Sorento variants get up to 24 mpg in the city and up to 29 mpg on the highway.

The Sorento’s modest size makes it a delight to drive. With a 3,500-pound towing capability, this vehicle is capable of reaching a peak of 126mph and accelerates to 60 mph in 10.4 seconds.

7. 2022 Mazda CX-9

The brand new Mazda CX-9 2022 model captured parking at the woods in the background.

It has a strong turbo engine, fast steering, and a comfortable cabin, all of which make the $35,280 price tag seem reasonable at first glance. Mazda’s 2022 CX-9 is a good choice if you want to save time at the petrol station.

According to the EPA, the city and highway fuel efficiency ratings for the FWD model are 20 and 26 mpg, respectively. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 7.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 128 mph thanks to its AWD system.

The 2020 Mazda CX-9 has 310 lb.-ft. of torque and an additional 10 lb.-ft. with premium fuel. The towing capacity of the 2020 Mazda CX-9 is 3,500 pounds when it is equipped with the base model.

You get a leather steering wheel plus three-zone automatic climate control as standard features in the cabin.

I like how the 2020 Mazda CX-9 can make every trim level stylish and comfy yet won’t charge excessively for the SUV. Talk about value for money and that’s what I love about this vehicle.

8. 2022 Dodge Durango

Side view angle of the brand new Dodge Durango in metallic red colorway in display at the Auto Show in Vancouver Canada.

Models with mpg ratings of 19 cities and 26 highways begin at $35,475. The Dodge Durango’s engine lineup is unmatched by any other mid-size SUV in its class.

The Dodge Durango is an SUV camouflaged as a muscle vehicle. Durango’s available V8 engines distinguish it from the competition among midsize SUVs. It takes the SUV just under five seconds to go from 0-60 mph thanks to the 475 horsepower provided by the 6.4-liter V8 engine.

At full load, the Durango will tow upwards of 8,700 pounds. The mid-range market has never seen anything like this before. Durango’s third-row seats will be standard in 2022. Third-row passengers will appreciate the substantial amount of legroom.

9. 2022 Nissan Rogue

Side view of a grey nissan rogue parked on the side of the road.

The Rogue does not come standard with all-wheel drive, but it is available as an option. Vehicle design is enhanced by a large amount of storage space and cutting-edge features. 0-60 mph is accomplished in 8.2 seconds, and the top speed is 116 mph.

There are four trim levels available for this five-seater, ranging from $28,375 to $38,155. I’d go with the SV trim because it’s in the middle of the two other options. All-wheel drive and an outside 360-degree camera are standard equipment at this level of grade.

All Rogue versions come standard with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The CVT automatic transmission is standard, and all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive is available. You can go where you have to go with 201 hp, but it’s not the most powerful.

The car’s fuel economy ratings are 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway. An 8.0-inch touchscreen comes standard on lower models, while a 9.0-inch touchscreen is an option on higher trims. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also feature. You may tow up to 1500 pounds with this vehicle.

10. Chevrolet Equinox

Front view 3d photo of chevrolet equinox car in the road.

In the United States, the Chevy Equinox is a well-liked compact SUV. Despite its lack of style and speed, this vehicle serves its purpose well. Legroom, storage, and cup holders abound in this vehicle.

There is a 1500-pound towing capacity available. The only engine option is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. An all-wheel drive is an option, although the front-wheel-drive is standard.

The automobile reaches a top speed of 8.9 seconds at 24 miles per hour. As a starting point, you can choose between four trim levels, with the most expensive Premier model costing up to $32,645.

Starting with the LT model, with its chrome shell and multiple power-adjustable seats, is where I would focus. The city fuel economy is 26 mpg, while the highway fuel economy is 31 mpg.

11. 2023 Toyota Highlander

Left-side view of white-colored Toyota car.

High-end cars with lavish interiors and even essential technology have always appealed to me. The XLE model, which starts at $43,000, is my favorite; the base model costs $38,000. You get a towing capacity of 5000 pounds. This car can get up to 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway.

This car comes in eleven distinct trim levels. However, all-wheel drive is optional, the front-wheel driver is a default.

Even in the entry-level L trim, the interior features a well-designed infotainment system and a host of standard driver assistance features. It will be replaced by a turbo 2.4-liter four-cylinder in 2023.

The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine and a 9-speed automatic transmission come as a basic feature on the current model, which has 265 horsepower and 309 pound-feet of torque. You can choose between AWD and FWD systems.

A four-cylinder 2.5-liter engine and electric motors in the hybrid version produce a total of 243 hp. It has a top speed of 114-118 mph and can get to 60 mph in 6.7-7.3 seconds.

12. Hyundai Santa Fe

3d Front view of a hyundai car in a display room.

The price is reasonable, the ride is pleasurable, and the inside is visually appealing. Customers can choose from a wide range of price points and powertrains in this year’s Santa Fe. The vehicle has a top speed of 116 mph and a 0-60-62 time of 8.8 seconds.

AWD and engine options, as well as city MPG and top speed, are all similar.

The 4-cylinder 2.5 L engine produces 191 to 277 horsepower and 8-speed automated transmission. This vehicle’s towing capacity is 3,500 pounds with AWD and FWD. With room for five passengers, it was awarded five stars for overall safety.

13. Nissan Murano

Front side view angle of a Nissan Murano in a metallic black colorway in dsiplay at the automobile dealership.

The vehicle’s peaceful interior and smooth ride will be appreciated by those who seek tranquility. Most drivers won’t fancy the car’s slow driving characteristics. There is a V-6 3.5-liter engine that produces 260 hp in every Murano.

To begin with, it has FWD as standard, while a CVT transmission may be fitted to any specification level to provide an all-wheel drive. The Murano has a maximum towing capability of 1500 pounds.

I prefer the SV trim, which is both elegant and functional at a reasonable price, among the four available options. The base model starts at $34,535 and comes with an all-wheel drive (AWD).

As far as fuel economy goes, the Murano gets 20 city and 28 highway miles per gallon, and it takes just over seven seconds from zero to 60 mph.
