2023 Maserati Grecale

The 2023 Maserati Grecale, with a base price of $64,995, becomes the 2nd SUV to be sold by the Italian manufacturer as part of an effort to diversify its product offering. The Grecale has a classy interior that is accentuated by certain modern touches, which I find appealing.

The dashboard features a digital gauge cluster that measures 12.3 inches plus twin touchscreens on the center console. The interior is outfitted with high-quality materials all around. Towing capacity is 5962 pounds.

AWD and a 296-horsepower turbo-four are both standard features on the 2023 Grecale. The top-of-the-line Trofeo features a 523-hp twin-turbo V-6 for ultimate performance, and a 325-horsepower edition of the engine is also available.

Maserati has stated that the base price for the Grecale, which comes in three different configurations, will be a little under $65,000. That makes it one of the most expensive small luxury SUVs on the market today. The base 4-cylinder powertrain with full 325 horsepower is unlocked in the Modena trim, which is why we recommend it.

It has 523 HP and 457 lb-ft of torque in the Grecale Trofeo. Maserati claims that it can go from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 177 mph with this setup.

14 Cars Similar to the Maserati Grecale

If you like the Maserati Grecale but you’re wobbling and would like some other options, we’ve found a few options for you.

Here are 14 cars similar to the Maserati Grecale in many ways, including:

  • Price
  • Top speed
  • Trim levels
  • Acceleration
  • Horsepower and more.

1. 2022 Porsche Macan

A black 2022 Porsche Macan on Porsche store.

The Macan is one of my favorite SUVs due to the comfort it affords its occupants and the storage it affords their belongings. The Porsche Macan starts at $54,900 and is a fantastic car in terms of looks, handling, and off-road capability.

When Porsche introduced the Macan T in 2022, it was their most powerful and cost-effective model yet.

The Macan A, the top-tier model, is powered by a 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine and comes with our highest recommendation. Thanks to its 375 hp, it can go from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.3 secs, which makes it an excellent pick for motorsports. You can go as fast as 169 miles an hour. You may go up to 19 mph inside the city, plus 25 mpg on the highway.

The Macan GTS’s 0-62 mph pace of 4.5 secs is faster than that of a lot of sports cars, thanks to its 434 horsepower. The Macan’s handling will impress even those who have driven the most luxurious sports sedans.

2. 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLC

Black 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLC on road.

The base price of a GLC is $43,850, and it has a city/highway fuel economy rating of 22/27 mpg. The top speed of this car which comes with three trim levels is 131 miles per hour. They feature seats for five passengers and can reach 60 miles per hour in 6.1 seconds.

It has a maximum towing ability of 3,500 pounds. As a luxury sedan, it outperforms the C-class in acceleration and noise isolation. This car is better suited to drivers who choose comfort above speed. This variant comes equipped with a turbo 4-cylinder engine producing 255 horses and a nine-speed automated transmission.

Optional all-wheel drive (4Matic) can be added to the standard rear-wheel-drive setup. In any case, it’s a comfortable vehicle to travel in. The all-wheel-drive version can sprint to 60 miles per hour in 5.4 seconds.

3. Genesis GV70

White Genesis GV70 on car show.

For a first-ever SUV that starts at $41,500, they did a fantastic job. Some of the things I like best about this car are the two strong engines, the roomy cabin, and the unexpected responsiveness of the chassis.

The GV70 can be outfitted with either a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine or a turbocharged and twin-turbocharged engine.

The GV70 is a formidable competitor in the premium small SUV market because of Genesis’ practice of equipping even the simplest editions with a plethora of high-end options.

There are eight gears in both the 2.0L and 2.9L 8 SP automatics, even though their gearboxes and engines are different. Outputs of power can be found between 280 and 505 hp. The V6-powered GV70 could go from zero to sixty miles per hour in 4.9 seconds and had a top speed of 150 miles per hour.

Even though the original model is reasonably priced, I highly recommend springing for the Advance version instead. The package consists of leather seats, a heated steering wheel, and several driver assistance functions like remote parking.

The EPA rates the 22 mpg city/28 mpg highway performance of the turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the best fuel economy (EPA). The twin-turbo V-6 has a city fuel economy rating of 19 mpg and a highway fuel economy rating of 25 mpg.

4. The BMW X3

Black BMW X3 on car show.

The 2017 BMW X3 is a reliable car with a healthy dose of driver appeal, cutting-edge features, and genuine comfort for its occupants. Beginning at $42,700. All models include glossy black or metal accents and imitation leather interiors.

Even the base xLine and M Sport are equipped with the iDrive audio system with its rearview camera and BMW Live Cockpit Plus touchscreen instruments.

With its standard xDrive all-wheel-drive and eight-speed automatic transmission, the X3 excels on challenging terrain.

The 3.0L 30d is the most powerful of the two diesel options, producing 282 hp. The M40d comes equipped with a diesel engine producing 335 horsepower, while the M40i has a 3.0-liter turbo powertrain producing 355 hp. The vehicle accelerates from 62 to 174 miles per hour in less than five seconds.

5. 2022 Volvo XC60

Green BMW M3 G80 on road.

Features like cutting-edge interior and exterior, fuel-efficient engines, and advanced driver-assistance systems are all included in the base price of $43,745.

I prefer the R-Design B6 over any of the other Volvo XC60 trims given its sporty looks and quick response from the T6 engine.

Several previously optional items are now included, making it much better value than the Momentum base trim. The R-Design package adds a power liftgate and four-zone automatic climate control in addition to the standard Harman/Kardon sound system, improved wheels, and sound system.

FWD B5 vehicles are predicted to achieve 22 mpg inside the city as well as 28 mpg on the highway. Plug-in hybrid T8 gets 63 mpg while the more muscular B6 achieves 21mpg across the city and 27 mpg along the highway.

Volvo offers three All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) XC60 models, the B5, B6, and T8, each with 8-speed automatic transmission. The B5 has a 48-volt hybrid network and a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, good for 247 horsepower. The B6 is equipped with a supercharger good for 295 horsepower.

Recharge models of the B6 combine the power of its gas-powered engine with that of an electric motor, increasing output to 455 horsepower. Towing capacity is 3500 pounds at 130mph, and acceleration is 0-60mph in 6.9 secs.

6. BMW M3 G80

Green BMW M3 G80 on road.

The BMW M3 G80, scheduled to hit the market in 2021, has become the 6th iteration of the M3 family of cars. The base version generates 473 hp, while the CS version generates 503 horsepower.

The reality that it can reach 60 miles per hour from a standstill in less than 3.9 seconds is equally astonishing. The M3 G80 is a terrific sports car that fits BMW’s contemporary design philosophy, despite its grille.

This vehicle can reach 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, while the Mercedes AMG C 63 requires 4.0 seconds. Comparatively, I think it’s a fantastic bargain than that of the Mercedes.

When compared to the M3, the CS M3 has almost 50 more horses. There will soon be a four-door and estate edition of it, leaving it even more desirable.

7. 2022 Lexus NX

White 2022 Lexus NX on parking space.

The 2017 Lexus NX plug-in hybrid is a great vehicle in many respects. With electric support, the NX 300h can go from 0-60 mph in 9.2 secs.

The newer NX’s interior is a major improvement over the old one, thanks to a more modern design and higher quality materials.

The 2022 model is distinguished from its forerunners by its use of LED headlights and its windscreen’s sharper pitch.

For some consumers looking for a high-end vehicle, the 2017 NX’s base price of under $40,000 is perhaps too low. The modern 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder powertrain in the NX350 provides 275 hp, making it the most capable powerplant in the mid-range all-wheel-drive segment. The upgrade to the deluxe plan is something to think about.

There are four available motors for the 2022 NX. All-wheel drive is included on the NX350 and is an extra cost on the NX250. The NX250 has a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing 203 hp and is paired with an eight-speed automated transmission. Here, you may select between two variants of the hybrid vehicle.

8. 2022 Alfa Romeo

Blue 2022 Alfa Romeo on road near mountain.

The Alfa Romeo comes in five different trim levels, with prices ranging from $77,990 to $288,000. A range of 6-8.4 liters per 100 kilometers is probably accurate. The Quadrifoglio will go from 0-60 in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 191 mph.

Since it’s not German, the inside design is nicer, and the price has dropped, which is great. Additionally, it receives a perfect score in the area of safety. The sleek exterior and cutting-edge, high-quality audio/video system make this a dream vehicle for daily use.

The range in price for the top-of-the-line Giulia Sport sedan, the Gtam, is from $63,950 to $288,000. The Guille may run on Premium Unleaded gas.

There are differences in transmission and engine size between the 2.0L 8 SP Automatic and the 2.9L 8 SP Automatic. The HP current can be between 280 and 505 mA/s.

9. 2022 Jaguar F-Pace

White 2022 Jaguar F-Pace parked in an open area.

The F-Pace has an MSRP beginning at $50,900 and gets 22/27 mpg in the city/highway. You can find the trim levels broken down into six distinct groups: The F-PACE, as well as the R-Sport, are two further options from Infiniti.

The top speed is 155 mph, and it takes just 3.8 seconds to go from 0 to 60 mph when fully loaded. The greatest amount of weight that can be towed by this car is 5,291.

It is a fantastic option due to its ample cargo area, effective engines, plus agile handling. The F-Pace is among the few SUVs able to boast both utility and driver enjoyment. Distinctive design elements make the Jaguar F-Pace distinguishable.

The P400 replaces the P250 turbo four-cylinder with a beautiful and potent inline-six engine. The Jaguar F-cabin Pace is outfitted with high-end fabrics, state-of-the-art technology, and numerous driver assistance functions.

10. 2022 Infiniti QX60

Gray 2022 Infiniti QX60 n car show.

Infiniti’s initial offering in this segment is the QX60, a $46,850 midsize premium SUV. There are various trim levels to choose from, including Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph. To me, the Sensory haircut is the way to go.

The second-row seats are heated and the liftgate lifts and closes when your foot is near it; both features are standard. Most customers wouldn’t mind saving $2000 by not opting for front-wheel drive.

The QX60’s automatic transmission featuring nine speeds in 2022 is an upgrade to the previous model’s continuously variable transmission. The 295-horsepower V-6 engine that debuted in the QX60 for the 2020 model year will remain standard fare. While all-wheel drive is an available feature, the new QX60 continues to be a front-wheel-drive car by default.

As opposed to the 2020 model, the QX60 has a towing capacity between 3500 and 6000 pounds. It can carry seven people, and has a 120mph top speed. Acceleration to 60mph takes 6.5 seconds.

11. 2022 Volvo XC90

White 2022 Volvo XC90 on road.

The XC90 starts at $50,900 and provides 21 City/30 highway mpg, making it a viable option for those on a limited budget. Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription are the three available package levels. Acceleration from zero to 60 mph takes 6.5 secs. This car can also achieve a top speed of 143 mph.

Will you need to bring a lot of gear? If you need to pull something, it is capable of towing up to 4000 pounds. The decor is sophisticated and child-friendly, making it perfect for owners traveling with their young children.

The Advance package has recently been modified to incorporate a newer air filtering technology and a head-up display. The Climate package has been upgraded to include standard headlamp cleaning and a heated steering wheel. Leather steering wheel covers were removed.

Despite having a plug-in hybrid motor with 400 horsepower, the XC90’s electric range and fuel economy are average. Still, the Volvo XC90 is a top selection among three-row pickups.

12. Volvo XC40

Red Volvo XC40 on road.

The Volvo’s distinctive personality is complemented by the car’s many modern amenities. At this point, you have my whole attention. Initial capital is $35,100.

The all-new XC40, Volvo’s newest SUV, will hit the market in 2022. Both the T4 and T5 can be had in Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription guises.

The base model is powered by the T4, a turbo four-cylinder engine producing 184 horsepower. The T5, with its 248 horsepower, is the most thrilling vehicle available.

The XC40 is available with a semi-autonomous driving technology, in addition to Volvo’s standard Volvo Pilot Assist seen in higher-priced Volvo vehicles. The cabin of the SUV is well-designed, and not just because of the spacious cargo room.

When you press the accelerator, you can go from zero to sixty in 4.9 seconds. You can tow up to 3,500 pounds with it, and it gets 23/32 mpg in the city/highway.

13. 2022 Audi Q5

Green 2022 Audi Q5 on car show.

The base price of a 2022 Audi Q5 sedan is $44,495 and that of a 2022 Audi Q5 hatchback is $44,495. Both models come standard with an abundance of high-end attributes and an elegant design. Both the turbocharged four-cylinder (261 hp) and the plug-in hybrid (362 hp) powertrains come standard with Quattro all-wheel drive.

The Audi Q5 is decked up to wow gadget-lovers with features like a touchscreen infotainment system and an optional digital gauge display.

Two of the 12 available trim levels, the Premium Plus 45 and the Sportback Premium Plus 45, are my top picks because of their extensive standard features and excellent overall performance.

A speed of 60 miles per hour in 4.5 seconds is quite impressive. What that equates to in terms of speed is 130 miles per hour. The Q5 45 achieves 23 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, whereas the Q5 40 achieves only 23 mpg in the city.

14. 2022 XT5 Cadillac

White 2022 XT5 Cadillac on parking space.

With its spacious and peaceful cabin, the XT5 is an ideal family vehicle. The base model costs $45,290, with the luxury, premium luxury, and sports configurations costing more.

If you’re looking for the best bang for your buck, go for the Premium Luxury edition. Basic amenities include convenient features like leather seats, heated steering,  wireless charging, and a no-touch liftgate.

The combination of a V-6 engine and front-wheel drive is our top pick. If you need an all-wheel drive, you can have it. Both a four-cylinder turbocharged and a V-6 are available for the XT5.

XT5 performance models will include Brembo brakes plus 20-inch wheels in 2022. Otherwise, the XT5 will carry over virtually unmodified into the 2019 model year. Both the standard turbo four-cylinder and the optional six-cylinder engine are underpowered and poorly tuned.

FWD XT5s with the standard turbo four-cylinder score an EPA-estimated combined 24 mpg with the 22/29 mpg city/highway engine. Zero to sixty miles per hour occurs in seven seconds, and the top speed is 130 miles per hour. The towing capacity is a hefty thousand pounds.
