2022 Maserati Levante

Gray Maserati Levante.

The 2022 Maserati Levante’s incredible performance has spoken for itself, and the premium nature of the Maserati brand ensures that buyers will be behind the wheel of something with rooted uniqueness. Prices begin at $51,295.

You may find the power and style in the 2022 Maserati Levante. The Levante’s powertrain lineup consists of a standard twin-turbo V-6 and an alternative twin-turbo V-8 with upwards of 580 horsepower.

For 2022, Maserati has revised the Levante model portfolio to include three distinct trim levels, beginning with the luxurious GT and progressing to the sporty Modena and the top-of-the-line Trofeo.

The Modena A is the one I’d go for because it has paddle shifters on the steering wheel, leather upholstery, and 20-inch wheels in addition to the standard features. Within 3.6 seconds, the Trofeo reaches 60 miles per hour.

According to the EPA, V-6 vehicles get 16 mpg in the city as well as 22 mpg on the interstate. The EPA rated the V-8 vehicles at 13 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway.

The climate settings and many other features of the vehicle may be changed through the 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment display; a voice-activated virtual assistant is also included. All models come included with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, SiriusXM radio, and navigation.

Here are 12 cars similar to the Maserati Levante in many ways, including:

  • Price
  • Top speed
  • Trim levels
  • Acceleration
  • Horsepower and more

1. 2022 Genesis GV80

Green 2022 Genesis GV80.

The 2022 GV80 is the perfect flagship for Genesis’ SUV portfolio, thanks to its majestic appearance and quiet, leather-lined cabin. The GV80’s cabin is a sight to behold as you enter the driver’s door, thanks to its high-end features and materials. The towing capacity is 6000 pounds.

The GV80’s ride quality is excellent for its starting price of $51,295. The base engine is a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four, but an optional 3.5-liter V-6 with dual turbos helps the GV80 hit 60 miles per hour in just 5.3 seconds. The maximum velocity is 147 mph.

Because even the base GV80 comes standard with heated front seats, a 14.5-inch touchscreen, and a motorized liftgate, it’s safe to say that the entire lineup is a comfortable luxury.

The EPA predicts that the four-cylinder GV80 vehicles will achieve 21 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway, while the V-6 models will achieve 18 mpg in the city and 23 mpg on the highway.

2. 2023 Porsche Cayenne

White 2023 Porsche Cayenne.

The starting price for a 2023 Porsche Cayenne is predicted to be around $70,000. Due to the addition of the brand new top-of-the-line Turbo GT Coupe, this now exceeds $181,000.

This car is proof that more isn’t always better than a 5-seat premium SUV. Despite its size and weight, the Cayenne handles and accelerates like a legit sports car. The Turbo V6 and V8 engines keep the performance flame alive in the most recent generation of the Cayenne.

A hybrid model of the Cayenne is available, and customers can also have their SUV modified into a “Coupe” style vehicle with a shorter roofline plus a more aerodynamic rear end. The Porsche Cayenne Coupe is the focus of this article.

In 2023, Porsche will release a mild facelift for the Cayenne that will include new wheels, a redesigned front grille, and revised headlights and taillights. For starters, there’s a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with 335 horsepower; this is the foundation for the hybrid system that can enhance output to 455 horsepower.

If you’re running on electricity, you can travel around 17 kilometers. The standard Cayenne S features a twin-turbo 2.9-liter V6 engine, while the optional twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 is available in no fewer than four different configurations.

The Cayenne Turbo raises the basic Cayenne’s power to 541 horsepower, although the Cayenne Coupe does not. Among its key rivals are the Lamborghini Urus, BMW X5, and Maserati Levante.

3. 2023 BMW X5

Blue 2023 BMW X5.

As for me, the highlights are the three unique powertrain choices, the plush cabin, and the state-of-the-art technology of the entertainment system. It has a maximum trailer weight of 6,603 pounds.

The base price for this year’s BMW X5, which has room for five people, is $60,600. It comes with a choice of three engines. The sDrive40i and xDrive40i X5s both feature inline-six turbocharged engines.

The xDrive45e has 389 horsepower thanks to its combination of an electric motor and a turbocharged inline-six. Using this powerplant, the X5 can reach a top speed of 173 mph and can reach 60 mph in 4.7 seconds. It gets 21 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway.

(From 0 to 60 mph in the 40i takes 4.8 seconds.) Plus, the M50i can hit 60 mph in less than four seconds because of its twin-turbo V-8 that generates 523 horsepower. Each of the three drivetrains is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, so drivers won’t have to worry about being underpowered in most situations.

The base model comes with a smooth inline-six engine and the most recent in comfort and convenience features. For short distances, an X5 plug-in hybrid may be driven solely on electricity generated, while the optional twin-turbo V-8 engine gives extremely quick acceleration.

4. 2022 Volvo XC90

White 2022 Volvo XC90.

The XC90 starts at $50,900 and provides 21 City/30 highway mpg, making it an affordable option for those on a strict budget. Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription are the three available levels of refinement. In 6.5 seconds, you can go from 0 to 60 mph, and the top speed is 143 mph.

Assuming you have the proper towing equipment, you can pull anywhere from 4000 to 5000 pounds. The interior design is both sophisticated and child-friendly.

The Advance package now also includes a modernized air filtering system and a head-up display. The Climate package now always consists of a headlamp cleaner and a heated wheel. We no longer get the steering wheels wrapped in leather.

However, everything makes up for it from the comfort to the performance. Despite having a plug-in hybrid motor producing 400 horsepower, the XC90’s electric range and fuel economy are merely adequate. The Volvo XC90, on the other hand, is a top-tier three-row truck.

5. 2023 Audi RS Q8

Black 2023 Audi RS Q8.

While both the SQ8 and the RS Q8 are powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8, the RS Q8 stands out because of its monstrous 591 horsepower and intimidating design.

The rear windows now have standard electrically powered sunshades, and the inside has been upgraded with additional Nappa leather and other fine materials for 2023. The new optional Executive package adds a parking assistance system.

The 22-inch wheels, adaptive air suspension, cooked and heated front seats, plus 17-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system are all standard on every RS Q8. Only 3.2 seconds are needed to reach 60 miles per hour.

The EPA has given the RS Q8 abysmal fuel efficiency figures of only 13 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. The maximum sum velocity is 189 mph.

This is the cost of experiencing the RS Q8’s breathtaking acceleration and handling. Plenty of head- and legroom for adults can be found in both rows of seating, and the trunk is just as roomy as in the standard Q8.

6. 2023 BMW X6

Black 2023 BMW X6.

The X6’s power is as subtle as shaving cream, whether it’s coming from the 40i’s 335-horsepower inline-six or the M50i’s 523-horsepower twin-turbo V-8. The X6’s outward proportions may be off, but the cabin is both stylish and practical.

The trendy sloped ceiling reduces the available headroom plus space for storage. 0-60 mph is reached in 3.8 seconds with this monster. However, we do not believe that the X6 M50i’s 523 horsepower is worth the additional $20,000.

In its place, we recommend the all-wheel-drive-equipped X6 40i, which features a six-cylinder engine. A more attractive body kit and external trim, a more powerful exhaust system, a fine-tuned suspension, and a special steering wheel are all part of the M Sport package which we would invest in.

The X6’s towing capacity stands out in a class where towing is typically not a top consideration. The X6’s maximum towing capability is 7200 pounds when equipped with the optional towing kit.

The EPA estimates 21 cities and 25 highway mpg for the all-wheel-drive only X6 40i. The somewhat more potent X6 M50i with a twin-turbo V-8 gets 16 cities and 22 highway mpg.

7. 2022 Audi Q7

Gray 2022 Audi Q7.

The base price of this luxury vehicle is $57,500, and it gets 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the interstate. We think the 45 with its turbo-four engine is the best choice, and we recommend it with the Premium Plus package.

Get ready to reach a top speed of 155 mph and a 0-60 time of 6.2 seconds. The 7,700-pound pulling capacity of this 7-seater is impressive.

This car is fun to drive because of its spacious cabin (save for the third row) and cutting-edge technology systems, as well as its nimble driving and comfortable seats. The Q7 is an attractive and fun-to-drive luxury SUV for the whole family.

Standard is an all-wheel-drive system and a turbo four-cylinder engine good for 248 horsepower; clients wishing for extra towing capacity or increased performance can upgrade to a turbocharged V-6 producing 335 horsepower.

The Q7’s ride quality and maneuverability can be enhanced with the addition of an adjustable air suspension and four-wheel steering.

8. 2023 Land Rover Discovery

Black 2023 Land Rover Discovery.

The fuel economy is estimated to be 19 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the interstate for a starting price of $55,000. You can choose between three different trim levels (SE, HSE, and HSE Luxury) that, together, can carry you from zero to sixty miles per hour in 6.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 125 miles per hour.

This seven-seater can pull anything from 6,613 to 8,200 pounds. The Discovery is a beautiful, capable, and thoroughly modern interpretation of the Land Rover’s heritage, and I love it. It can take you everywhere you want to go and looks good doing it.

The Discovery is Land Rover’s sleeker, more opulent response to the Jeep Wrangler in respect of off-road capability, and it’s available to those who can afford it. There are three rows of seats, so it can fit seven people. However, the back row is only suitable for kids.

Turbochargers can be one of two types. The base engine is a four-cylinder producing 296 horsepower, but a 355-horsepower inline-six is optional. Presently, I am in motion.

9. Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class

White Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class.

The GLE has an MSRP of $57,200 and achieves 20 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the interstate. There are five different trims available, but the GLE 350 base model with its turbocharged four-cylinder engine is the best bet.

The 7-seater can go from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 174 mph. 7,700-pound towing capacity. I appreciate that the car’s high-tech cabin allows for spacious first- and second-row seats.

Inside the GLE350, a turbocharged four-cylinder engine produces 255 horsepower and is matched with a nine-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive (AWD) models are both offered (4Matic in Mercedes language).

The GLE450 comes standard with all-wheel drive and a hybrid powertrain pushing 362 horsepower consisting of a turbocharged inline-six plus a special 48-volt electrical system.

Most designs have luxurious seats. The optional third row of seats is only practical for small people. The GLE’s wall of screens on the dashboard displays the vehicle’s many readouts and information for the driver’s convenience.

10. 2022 Lamborghini Urus

Yellow 2022 Lamborghini Urus.

The Urus’s back seat, useable cargo room, and towing capacity are three features I appreciate. The Verde Mantis green is very striking. The 2022 Lamborghini Urus is among the most ferocious family transporters on the earth, even though its cabin artistry isn’t as superb as its supercar siblings.

To reach 60 mph takes only 3.1 seconds and the top speed is 190 mph. Lamborghini does not modify the Urus much for 2022. A 641-horsepower twin-turbo V-8 continues to fuel the super SUV’s eight-speed transmission and all-wheel-drive system.

The Italian manufacturer is known for releasing special editions and appearance packages throughout the year. The Urus is predicted by the EPA to achieve 12 mpg inside the city and 17 mpg on the highway. Both the start button and the shifter, which mimics a jet’s throttle, are covered by red flip covers.

The performance settings and drive modes are adjusted with levers to the left of the shifter. Faux leather and carbon fiber are abundant, and the infotainment system and adaptable instrument cluster are both lifted wholesale from Audis.

11. 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport

Red 2023 Land Rover Range Rover Sport.

The 2018 Range Rover is a handsome SUV that comes in 12 different trim levels with prices ranging from $104,500 to $218,300. New cabin air filtering technology from Land Rover purportedly removes odors and pathogens like COVID-19. The mechanism works effectively even while the automobile is idle.

The Range Rover Sport has been modernized, yet the overall design is instantly recognizable. Three inches have been added to both the short and long wheel variants. Due to the LWB, Land Rover can finally provide three-row seats.

Two gas-powered engines will have to do for now. The P400 is powered by the same supercharged and turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six engine as the outgoing model.

It makes 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque, like before, and is paired with an eight-speed automated transmission. In the best performance setting, you may achieve a maximum speed of 176 miles per hour.

Land Rover claims the LWB has a much faster acceleration time than the SWB, at just 5.8 seconds from zero to sixty miles per hour.

12. Cadillac XT6

Black Cadillac XT6.

This vehicle has a top speed of 144 mph. The 2022 XT6 could do quite well as it comes standard with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine and gets EPA-estimated 21/27 mpg in the city and on the interstate.

Gas mileage estimates for V-6 vehicles range from 19 mpg in the city to 26 mpg on the interstate. The base price of $49,740 buys you a stylish exterior, a spacious interior, and numerous advanced technological features.

The 2018 XT6 with a turbo-four should achieve up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The V-6 engine gets up to 19 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the interstate.

For the 2022 model year, consumers can choose from a V-6 or a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. They can be purchased with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and a nine-speed automatic transmission is standard on both.

The XT6 offers a high level of luxury along with a choice between a Premium Luxury and Sport trim. The optional 3.0L V6 engine in the 2022 Cadillac XT6 has a 4,100 lb. towing capacity.
