12 Crossovers Similar to the Buick Envision

The Buick Envision does not have many changes for 2022, but the previous model year came loaded with features. It has safety features that are standard, roomy seats, and a fuel-efficient engine. 

The Envision moves quickly and provides a comfortable ride over just about any road surface. It has first- and second-row seats and includes driver assistance such as automatic emergency braking and blind spot monitoring. The Envision has three trim levels: Preferred, Essence, and Avenir.

2. Mercedes Benz GLC300

The Mercedes Benz GLC300 is a strong alternative to the Buick Envision. The GLC300 has a cabin that is well-insulated and looks rich. This vehicle has acceleration that is so quick, it is noticeable. Moreover, it is luxurious to drive. The newest version of the GLC300 has new features that are standard. 

Some standard features include parking damage detection, automatic high beams, a USB-C adaptive cable, and USB ports for second-row passengers. You can upgrade to the premium package to get passive hands-free entry. A new color, Starling Blue metallic, has been added to the paint options. There are two trim levels: GLC 300 SUV and GLC 300 4matic SUV.

3. Volvo XC60

The Volvo XC60 is a stable alternative to the Buick Envision because it has a stylish exterior and interior. It offers standard driver-assistance technology and an efficient powertrain. In addition, this vehicle has clean lines and embellishments that look stylish while driving down the road. 

The Volvo XC60 has seven trim levels: Momentum, R-Design, Inscription, Recharge, Recharge R-Design, Recharge Inscription, and Recharge Polestar Engineered. In addition, this vehicle comes with three different options for powertrains: B5, B6, and T8. All of these powertrains offer all-wheel drive and eight-speed automatic transmission. The B5 comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a 48-volt hybrid system with 247 horsepower.

The B6 powertrain comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It has a supercharger added to it along with 295 horsepower. The T8 powertrain is a hybrid with the same engine as the B6.

4. Lexus NX

Another great alternative to the Buick Envision is the Lexus NX. The Lexus provides more space and has a luxurious interior. For 2022, Lexus completely revamped the NX. It boasts a more aggressive windshield and headlights. 

There are six trim levels: NX250, NX350h, NX350, NX350 F Sport, NX450h+, and NX450 h+ F Sport. The NX has four powertrain options. The base model engine is a 203 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder. You can upgrade to a 275-horsepower turbocharged 2.4-liter. Both of the available engines come with an eight-speed automatic.

The NX250 can have either front- or all-wheel drive. The NX350 comes with all-wheel drive standard. The NX350h is a hybrid with two electric motors and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder for 239 horsepower. Finally, the NX450h+ uses the same powertrain as the RAV4 Prime, which is a 302-horsepower plug-in hybrid. 

According to Lexus, you can expect to get about 41 miles per gallon in the city and 37 on the highway. The starting price of the NX is around $39,425. All models include lane-keeping assist, automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

5. BMW X3

The newly styled X3 is an alternative to the Buick Envision that is worth considering. It has new taillights and headlights and a restyled grille. It is fuel-efficient and has agile handling. There are three trims: sDrive30i, xDrive30i, and M40i.

The sDrive30i and xDrive30i both offer the same engine, which is a 248 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder. The sDrive30i comes with a rear-wheel drive, and the xDrive30i comes with an all-wheel drive. For greater performance, there is the M40i option.

It has a 382-horsepower turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine with a ton of power. It can go from zero to 60 in 4.1 seconds.

In addition, you can upgrade to an adaptive suspension. This suspension is called Dynamic Damper Control. It gives you additional driving modes on the xDrive30i, such as Comfort, Sport, and Eco Pro driving modes to the xDrive30i. The M40i also has an adaptive M suspension, which lowers the chassis by about 0.4 inches.

To make the ride more comfortable, the front seats have a 10-way power adjustment. They also have adjustable side bolsters to make it easy to find a comfortable position. The rear seats have reclining seatbacks.

6. Acura RDX

The Acura RDX is a strong competitor to the Buick Envision. It comes with a low starting price. It has a multitude of standard features and athletic handling. The RDX is a nice-looking ride due to a small styling revision for 2022. This year, there are two new color options: Phantom Violet Pearl and Liquid Carbon Metallic.

There are five trim levels: Base, Technology, A-Spec, Advance, and PMC Edition. All of the trim levels come with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto connectivity, and Amazon Alexa integration. The RDX also includes a wireless smartphone charging pad.

There is only one powertrain option. It is a 272-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with a 10-speed automatic transmission. You can choose front- or all-wheel drive. You should get about 22 miles per gallon in the city and 28 on the highway.

The center console is busy with tons of buttons, a touchpad, and a large rotary drive-mode selector. Power-adjustable, heated front seats, ambient lighting, and dual-zone climate control are standard across all trims. You can expect the RDX to start at around $40,600.

7. Lincoln Corsair

The Lincoln Corsair has an upscale design and pleasant ride, which makes it a strong competitor to the Buick Envision. Even though the Lincoln shares a platform with the Ford Escape, it has added so many luxury and high end features you would never know it.

For 2022, Lincoln replaced some paint colors. You will now find Ocean Drive Blue Metallic, Bronze Smoke Metallic, and Elite Blue Metallic instead of Iced Mocha, Artisan Blue, and Burgundy Velvet.

The Corsair has three trim levels: Standard, Reserve, and Grand Touring. There are two engine options from which you can choose. Both engines are turbocharged and four-cylinder. There is a 250 horsepower 2.0-liter or a 280 horsepower 2.3-liter.

Both engines come with an eight-speed automatic transmission. On the 2.0-liter, you can choose from either front- or all-wheel drive, but the 2.3-liter has standard all-wheel drive.

You should get about 22 miles per gallon in the city, 29 on the highway, and 25 miles per gallon combined. The starting price of the Corsair is around $37,775.

8. Audi Q5

The Audi Q5 has a cabin rich in technology, wonderful styling, and many configurations from which you can choose, making it a strong competitor to the Buick Envision. In addition, there are 12 trim levels: Premium 40, Premium 45, Premium Plus 40, Sportback Premium 45, Premium Plus 45, Sportback Premium Plus 45, Prestige 40, Premium 55 PHEV, Prestige 45, Premium Plus 55 PHEV, Sportback Prestige 45, and Prestige 55 PHEV.

9. GMC Terrain

The GMC Terrain may be surprising as a great alternative to the Buick Envision. The Terrain got a refresh this model year. It has seating for five where all passenger will be comfortable. The GMC Terrain has four trim options: SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali. 

This GMC has a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with a nine-speed automatic and either front- or all-wheel drive standard option. you can expect an estimated gas mileage of 25 miles per gallon in the city and 30 on the highway. The base price starts around $29,095 but will quickly go up over $38,000 for higher-end models.

10. Genesis GV70

The Genesis GV70 is brand new for the Genesis line. It is their first step into the luxury SUV arena. It is a great start and a note worthy competitor to the Buick Envision. It has a luxurious and high-end interior styling with an athletic chassis.

The GV70 offers seven trim levels: 2.5T, 2.5T Select, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Prestige, 3.5T Sport, 3.5T Sport Advance, and 3.5T Sport Prestige.

11. Chevrolet Equinox

The Chevrolet Equinox is a compact SUV with a ton of passenger room and agility on the road, which makes it a strong competitor for the Buick Envision. It has four trim levels: LS, LT, R5, and Premier. There is only one engine, which is a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder with 170 horsepower.

The Buick Enclave is a great option as a competitor for the Envision. It is a larger SUV that is roomy for families, stylish, and packed with value for its price. In addition, it almost doubles the capacity of the Envision with three rows and seating for up to seven.

The Enclave has a robust 3.6-liter V-6 engine that is powerful and quiet. The Enclave is not flashy, but you can expect reliability and durablity. It has three trim levels, which are the exact same levels as the Envision. They are the Essence, Premium, and Avenir.

The highest trim level offers quilted leather, massaging driver seats, and wood inlay in the cabin. All trims have standard safety and driver assists like lane-keep assistance. You can get about 16 miles per gallon in the city and 23 on the highway. The base price starts at $44,095.
