2023 Genesis GV60
To make the interior feel more luxurious, it features an enormous monolithic display screen that serves not only to display information but also as the SUV’s gauge cluster.
The crystal-sphere shifter also spins to unveil itself when we start the SUV. Customers will be able to pick between the 314-hp Advanced and the 429-hp Performance models when they go on sale. The car has a top speed of 124 mph and takes 5.5 seconds to accelerate from a halt to 60 mph.
The EPA estimates that the AWD GV60 Advanced will have a range of 248 miles, while the Performance model has a range of 235 miles. The starting price for all versions is $59,985. We expect the addition of a longer-distance rear-wheel-drive powertrain to the lineup later.
As the smallest SUV in the Hyundai Genesis series, the interior design has a state-of-the-art appearance. A facial recognition system lets the owner both start and unlock the car without the need for a key with the GV60’s technology. The SUV’s design incorporates other biometric technology, such as fingerprint readers. It can tow up to 2000 pounds.

1. 2023 BMW iX
Two electric motors provide all-wheel drive and much more than enough power in their two trims, starting at $82,095 for the xDrive50 and 749 lb-ft of torque in the M60. You’ll get a driving range of more than 300 miles because of the car’s massive battery pack.
A huge digital dashboard reveals the future of BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, which is operated by a transparent rotary knob located on the center console of the iX’s vast interior. To compete with proven all-electric rivals, the iX is all set.
For the money, I suggest choosing the xDrive50, which has all the comfort and convenience features you’d expect from a vehicle in this class. At 60 mph, the five-passenger car takes little under four seconds, and it can go up to 155 mph. When connected to a 200-kW outlet, the iX can recharge from 0% to 80% in about 35 minutes.
The iX has a maximum towing capacity of 5500 pounds. The iX variant with 20-inch wheels comes standard and gets 86 MPGe in the city and 87 MPGe on the highway, making it the most efficient.
2. 2022 Rivian R1S
A starting price of $91,075 includes rapid acceleration, superior cabin surroundings, and off-road capability. The Rivian R1S boasts a top speed of 124.9 mph and a 0-60 mph time of about 3 seconds in the right conditions.
Because it is one of only a few three-row EVs, Rivian’s 2022 R1S SUV is an excellent choice for families looking to make the switch to electric transportation. With a lower starting price and greater towing capability, the R1S directly challenges the Tesla Model X. The R1T pickup’s 128.9-kWh battery pack, which the EPA estimates to be enough for 316 miles of road on a single charge, is also found in the R1S.
The R1S is powered by a quad-motor system that produces 835 horsepower. For a vehicle of this size and weight, the handling and ride are surprisingly agile. Another aspect in which the R1S has an edge over the Model X is its ability to go off-road. The R1S comes fitted with an adaptable air suspension that can lift it to a maximum height of 15.0 inches. It has a maximum towing capability of 7,700 lbs. You’re correct, of course!
3. 2023 Audi e-Tron
The car is available in six amazing configurations, with the entry-level Premium starting at $67,995. It has a top speed of 112mph and a 0-60mph time of six seconds.
The Audi e-Tron and the more svelte e-Tron Sportback are attractive because their electric prowess is not immediately apparent. Both vehicles are equipped with a 355-horsepower all-wheel-drive system with an EPA-estimated driving range of up to 222 miles (four miles less for the e-Tron Sportback). The e-maximum Tron’s power output is 402 hp while in sports mode.
With a panoramic sunroof, leather upholstery, four-zone climate control, heated front seats, and blind-spot monitoring as standard on the Sportback Premium, it is my pick among the six models.
The EPA estimates the basic e-range trons at 222 miles, while the Sportback’s range is 218 miles. The E-Tron SUV gets 78 MPGe combined, while the Sportback variant gets 77 MPGe combined for both models. The SUV’s top speed is between 152 and 155 mph, and it reaches 60 mph in 3.1 to 3.9 seconds from a standstill.
4. 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQB
The EQB, a new product for Mercedes-Benz, will hit the market in North America in the summer of 2022 at a starting price of $56,800. In addition to the powerful EQB350, two other models, the 300 and the Pinnacle, are also available. The top speed is 160 mph, and it takes 6.2 seconds to get from 0-60 mph. 3968 pounds of towing capacity.
The EQB300’s 225 horsepower is more than enough for most drivers, but the Pinnacle trim level adds a Burmester premium music system, panoramic sunroof, and for a more luxurious experience. The EQB300, which features a 225-horsepower electric motor and 288 pound-feet of torque, will be the entry-level model.
The EQB350 with dual motors produces 288 hp and 324 pounds-feet of torque as the next level. Because of its larger weight, the EQB’s ride is more comfortable than the GLB’s because of its shared chassis components. That it has a well-appointed and practical cabin, as well as an updated powertrain, is a big plus for me.
5. 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5
The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a superb all-electric compact crossover thanks to its contemporary look, cutting-edge technology, and versatile interior. MPGe is 132 city/98 highway at a starting price of $28,384.
Aside from the base model, you can also have an all-wheel-drive Limited or an SEL, with the latter having a lower starting price. It has a top speed of 115 mph with a 0-60 mph time of 7.4 seconds. However, the AWD takes only 5.2 seconds.
Even though the Ioniq 5 2022 is a Hyundai sub-brand, it is the first Ioniq EV marketed in the United States. It has over 300 miles in range on a single charge when completely charged.
Between 168 and 320 hp is possible depending on the vehicle’s all-wheel-drive or rear-wheel-drive arrangement. The Ioniq 5 has an eco-friendly display, front seats with footrests, and plenty of room for people.
6. Ford Mustang Mach-E
The Mach-MPGe E’s start at $43,895 and has a 108 city/94 highway mpg rating. There are four different trim options to choose from when it comes to the GT’s performance. It takes 3.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph.
Like the Ioniq 5, it gets a similar highway MPGe, has a large interior, and is equipped with all-wheel drive. The Ford Mustang Mach-E is an excellent choice for people looking for a dependable, roomy, and cost-effective EV.
There is a passing resemblance between this car and the Mustang, but it is different and it has between 266 and 480 hp.
For all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive, there are two battery sizes to choose from. For a high-tech vehicle, the Mach-maximum E has a maximum range of about 300 miles. The cabin’s storage solution is well-organized, and the user interface is simple to understand.

7. Volvo XC40
Having a contemporary Volvo appeals to me since it has all the amenities I’m looking for in a car, but it still has a distinct character. Also, the $35,100 initial price is fantastic. Like the Ioniq 5, it has a slick design and all-wheel drive.
The all-new Volvo XC40 for 2022 is a sporty and hip addition to the Volvo SUV lineup. There are seven trim levels between T4 and T5, ranging from Momentum through R-Design and Inscription.
A turbocharged four-cylinder engine with the T4 designation produces 184 horsepower in the base model. With 248 horsepower and all-wheel drive, the T5 variant is the most exhilarating.
Volvo’s Pilot Assist semi-autonomous control aspect, offered on high-tier Volvo vehicles, is also included in the XC40. It boasts a wide cargo area and a well-designed cabin with clever storage solutions. At 60 mph, it takes only 4.9 seconds.
8. Jaguar I-Pace
For $69,900, you can get the I-Pace First Edition, which has a range of 234 miles and a top speed of 186mph. From zero to 60 mph in 4.5 seconds, the car can achieve speeds of up to 124 mph.
My favorite part is how they combine a sense of speed with an air of calm. Like the Ioniq 5, it’s roomy, all-wheel-drive, and has more than 300 hp.
The basic AWD model for the I-Pace offers two electric motors, which produce 512 pound-feet of torque along with 394 horses.
Because of the car’s basic air suspension, its steering gives a good feel. It’s easier to drive an electric Jag because of its lower center of gravity and the huge battery pack under the floor.
9. 2022 Volkswagen ID.4
The First Edition as well as the Pro trim levels begin at $40,760. The base model has an MPGe value of 107 city/91 highway. This vehicle has a top speed of 112 mpg (113 km/h) and can reach 60 in 6.2 seconds. It can hold five people.
The Ioniq 5’s interstate MPGe, comfortable interior, near horsepower, and range are all shared by this vehicle.
All trim levels have the same engine output and velocity. Cargo-friendly cabin, long-distance endurance, and pleasant ride quality are just some of this vehicle’s many good qualities.
The 2017 Volkswagen ID.4 crossover is a wonderful choice for families because of its low cost of ownership. There will be an all-wheel-drive option for the ID.4 shortly
Except for 295 ponies from the all-wheel-drive and 201 from the rear-wheel-drive options.
10. Nissan Ariya
Even though Ariya’s starting price, $47,195, is higher than that of more affordable EVs, it is less expensive than the Model Y’s. Range, AWD, and acceleration are all features that have commonalities with the Ioniq 5.
We’ll remain with Ariya’s Venture+ model, which has the most range, since we believe it’s the greatest starting point for people who want to switch from gas to electricity.
It is possible to have an all-wheel-drive using a dual-front/rear electric-motor arrangement. Ariya’s 0-60 mph time is under 5.0 seconds when compared to similar high-end electric vehicles. The Venture+’s top speed of 226 kph and a range upwards of 300 miles on a single charge make it a major upgrade over the Leaf’s top speed.
Evolve+, Premiere, and Platinum+ versions can travel up to 285 miles on a single charge. You can charge at home, at a public station, or even with a DC fast charger.

11. Tesla Model Y
For me, Model Y’s advantage in practicality over Model 3 is a major bonus. This automobile is a techie’s dream come true on the interior or outside, with an impressive 447 hp from its dual-motor drivetrain. Improved Autopilot semi-autonomous handling system and a third-row seat are standard features of the Model Y.
It will cost $53,940 for the Tesla Model Y in 2022. At $58,940, the Model Y Performance’s base price is the most expensive on the market. When fully equipped, a Performance model might run as much as $80,000. The 0-60 mph time for the Long Range variant is 4.8 seconds, while the 0-60 mph time for the Performance model is under 3.5 seconds.
The Long Range model has a range of 330 miles, while the Performance model has a range of 303 miles. In terms of overall driving range and performance, we recommend the Long Range model. With only five external color choices to choose from, the Model Y is incredibly limited in terms of personalization options.
12. 2022 Polestar 2
Both Single Motor and Dual Motor options are available in the Polestar 2 trim levels. The 476 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque that will be available to owners of the two Long Range dual-motor versions will arrive soon. As a standard feature, Google Assistant and Maps are included, allowing for voice-activated navigation and assistance.
The Polestar 2’s Long Range single motor costs $47,200, while the Long Range dual-motor costs $51,200. It is capable of towing up to 2000 pounds.
Polestar 2 is, in my opinion, the epitome of personalization. Several cutting-edge features in this electric car should make it popular in the future.
The Polestar 2 is a five-door electric hatchback with a stated range of 292 miles, plenty of power, and a top speed of 102 miles per hour.
13. Mazda MX30
At $33,470, the MX-30 has a starting MSRP of $33,470 and a range of 100 miles. You get 98 MPGe across the city and along the highway you get 85 MPGe. It has a top speed of 90 mph and a zero to 60 time of 9.7 seconds with just one trim level. There’s plenty of room for five people in this car.
Using environmentally friendly materials boosts the interior and overall versatility of the car, which I find appealing. It shares with the Ioniq 5 a reasonable starting price and a reasonable amount of storage capacity.
The MX-30 SUV is Mazda’s debut full electric vehicle. While the outside is clean and the inside minimalistic, it lacks the utility required. The Mazda EV SUV can travel 100 kilometers on a single charge thanks to a 143-horsepower electric motor that powers the front wheels. ‘
The MX-30 Premium Plus offers a lot more functions that aren’t included in the original model. In addition to a heated steering wheel and a 12-speaker Bose audio system, this model also features a 360-degree camera.
14. Kia Niro EV
You may get 123 city/102 highway MPGe with a starting price of $39,900 with the choice of Ex or Ex Premium trim levels by upgrading to the Ex or Ex trim levels. Having a top speed of 104 mph and an acceleration time of 7.5 seconds, this five-seater vehicle is both fast and strong.
Non-luxury EV buyers could get drawn to the attractiveness of these models, that’s because of their more structured image and many features. Acceleration, high MPGe, and room are some of the similarities between this vehicle and the Ioniq 5.
A 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and a 201-horsepower electric motor will power Niro’s hybrid powertrain for the 2023 model year. The Niro will only be offered with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with front-wheel drive in 2023, with no rear-wheel drive options.
To save money without sacrificing quality, we suggest the EX trim level, which comes loaded with many of the same features as the EX Premium but is priced lower. The heated front seats and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are included as standard features.
