Genesis GV70

They did an excellent job for a starting price of $41,500 for the brand’s first SUV. The two powerful engines, comfortable interior, and surprising agility of the chassis are some of my favorite aspects of this vehicle.

There are two engine options for the GV70: a turbo 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine or an engine that is both turbos as well as twin-turbocharged.

When it comes to the luxury small SUV market, Genesis’ policy of cramming even the most basic models with luxury features makes the GV70 an important competitor in the field.

Even though their gearboxes and engines are different, both the 2.0L and the 2.9L 8 SP automatics have eight gears. Power outputs range from 280 to 505 hp. The V-6-powered GV70 reached a top speed of 150 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 4.9 seconds.

The Advance trim is worth the extra money, even though the base pricing is affordable. The package includes leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, and other driver-assist features, such as remote parking.

According to the EPA, the most fuel-efficient model is the turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which gets 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the interstate (EPA). There is a 19 mpg city rating and 25 mpg highway rating for the twin-turbo V-6.

If you’ve been watching the Genesis GV70 but you’re wavering and would like some other options, we’ve researched for you.

Here are 13 cars similar to the Genesis GV70 in many ways, including:

  • Price
  • Top speed
  • Trim levels
  • Acceleration
  • Horsepower and more.

1. 2022 Porsche Macan

Luxurious Porsche Macan in a skyblue colorway spotted parking outdoors at the street in Baku Azerbaijan.

The Macan is among my beloved sport utility cars because of the extra space it provides for passengers and their cargo. Starting at $54,900, the Porsche Macan is a wonderful car in terms of appearance, handling, and off-road abilities.

In 2022, Porsche released the Macan T, a top-performing variant that is more affordable.

The 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo engine powers the Macan A, which we highly recommend of the three trims. Its 375 horsepower enables it to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds, making it an excellent choice for racing. You can attain a top speed of 169 miles per hour. In the city, you can go up to 19 mph, and on the interstate, you can get 25 mpg.

Since the Macan GTS has 434 horsepower, its 0-62 mph time of 4.5 seconds is quicker than many sports vehicles. Even the most well-equipped sports sedans will be impressed by the Macan’s handling.

2. 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLC

Side view angle of the brand new 2022 model of the Mercedez AMG GLC in metallic black colorway with mesmerizing sunset background.

The GLC starts at $43,850 and gets 22/27mpg in the city and highway.

The GLC 300, plus the 300 & 350e 4Matic, all have a top speed of 131 mph. They can seat five people and have a 0-60 mph time of 6.1 seconds. The towing capacity of 3,500 pounds

In comparison to the C-class sedan, it has faster acceleration and a luxuriously well-insulated inside.

Drivers who prioritize comfort over speed will appreciate this vehicle more than the opposite. A 255-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine and a nine-speed automatic transmission are standard on this model.

It is possible to add 4Matic, or all-wheel-drive, as an option to the basic RWD. But at least it’s pleasant to ride in. The all-wheel-drive model reaches 60 mph in 5.4 seconds.

3. The BMW X3

Front view of bmw car with tall grass background.

Satisfaction, technology, and legit driver appeal are all present in the new BMW X3, which is a well-balanced vehicle. Prices start at $42,700. There are faux leather cabins and glossy black or aluminum accents on all versions.

Standard on all models, even the entry-level xLine and M Sport, is the iDrive infotainment system, which includes a rearview camera and digital gauges from BMW Live Cockpit Plus digital gauges.

An xDrive all-wheel-drive plus eight-speed automatic transmission are standard on every X3, giving it exceptional off-road capability.

Diesel fans can choose either 2.0 or 3.0-liter 30d engines, the latter of which produces 282 horsepower. There is a 335-horsepower diesel engine in the M40d and a 355-horsepower 3.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine in the M40i. In fewer than five seconds, the car goes from 62mph to 174mph.

4. 2022 Volvo XC60

A photo of volvo xc60 car parked for recharging.

The starting price of $43,745 comprises a modern cabin and exterior, efficient powertrains, and driver-assist technologies.

I’d go for the R-Design B6 above any of the other six XC60 trims because of the R-sporty Design’s sporty aesthetics and the T6 engine’s zippy performance.

It’s certainly worth the extra money above the Momentum base trim due to the various features that are now standard. The R-Design trim level includes Harman/Kardon audio, upgraded wheels, a motorized rear liftgate, and automatic 4-zone temperature control.

It is estimated that FWD B5 models will obtain 22mpg in the city and 28mpg on the open road. While the more powerful B6 gets 21/27 mpg city/highway/combined, the plug-in hybrid T8 gets 63 mpg.

Three AWD and 8-speed automatic gearbox options are available for the Volvo XC60: B5, B6, and T8. With a turbo 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and a 48-volt hybrid network, the B5 produces 247 horsepower. The B6 has a 295-horsepower supercharger in its arsenal.

455 horsepower is generated by combining the B6’s engine with an electric motor in the Recharge trims. At 130mph, this vehicle can tow 3500 pounds and go from 0-60mph in 6.9 seconds.

5. BMW M3 G80

Brand new BMW M3 G80 in a mint green colorway in display at the Ford dealership store.

When the BMW M3 G80 goes on sale in 2021, it will be the sixth model in the M3 series. The standard model has 473 horsepower, while the CS model has 503 horsepower. Even more impressive is the fact that it can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in under 3.9 seconds. Aside from its grille, the M3 G80 is a fantastic sports car that suits BMW’s current design philosophy.

The Mercedes AMG C 63 needs 4.0 seconds to get 60 mph, but this car does it in 3.9 seconds. It’s a better deal than the Mercedes, in my opinion. To put it another way, the CS M3 has around 50 more horses than the M3. The estate model and a four-door version are on the way, making it even more appealing.

6. 2022 Lexus NX

A photo of lexus nx car in a grey color at the auto show.

There’s a lot to like about the new plug-in hybrid version of the Lexus NX. To get from zero to 60mph in 9.2 seconds, the NX 300h uses electric assistance.

With a newer image and better materials, the new NX’s cabin is a substantial advance over the previous model.

LED headlamps and a windscreen with a steeper slope than the previous generation distinguish the 2022 model from its predecessors.

A starting price of less than $40,000 may be too basic for some luxury shoppers for the new NX. 275 horsepower is available from the new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine in the mid-range AWD NX350. You may wish to consider adding the luxury package.

The 2022 NX has four different engine options. The NX350 comes standard with all-wheel-drive, while all-wheel drive is an option on the NX250. The NX250 is powered by a 203-horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed automatic. In this case, you have a choice between two different hybrids.

7. 2022 Alfa Romeo

A green 2022 Alfa Romeo car moving on the road at the desert place.

Between $77,990 to $288,000, the Alfa Romeo’s five trims are available. A 100-kilometer fuel economy estimate of 6-8.4 liters is reasonable. From the GTA to  Gtam are all potential options for the vehicle. With a top speed of 191/mph and a 0-60 time of 3.8 seconds, the 2022 Giulia Quadrifoglio can seat five passengers.

Compared to the Volvo XC60, this vehicle is just as capable in terms of speed and cornering prowess.

It has a better cabin feel because it’s not German, plus it’s now less pricey, which I like. A five-star safety rating is also awarded to it. This is a wonderful daily driver because of its stylish appearance and high-tech, high-quality audio/video system.

From $63,950 to $288,000, the top-of-the-line Gtam model of the sedan Giulia Sport is available. Premium unleaded fuel can be used in the Guille.

Between the 2.0L 8 SP Automatic and the 2.9L 8 SP Automatic, transmissions and engine capacities differ. HP ranges from 280 to 505 mA per second.

8. 2022 Jaguar F-Pace

The all new Jaguar F-Pace in a metallic blue colorway in the forest for test driving.

At $50,900, the F-Pace has a starting price of 22/27 city/highway miles per gallon. For your convenience, we’ve divided the trim levels into six categories: There are also Infiniti’s F-PACE and R-Sport models to choose from.

155 miles per hour is the top speed, and the time to get from 0 to 60 miles per hour with a full load in just 3.8 seconds. This vehicle has a maximum towing capacity of 5,291.

With a wide cargo room, better engines, and superb handling, it’s a terrific choice. Few SUVs, including the Jaguar F-Pace for 2022, can claim both practicality and fun in the driver’s seat all in the same bundle. The Jaguar F-Pace stands out from the crowd.

As a gorgeous and powerful inline-six, the P400 succeeds the P250 turbocharged four-cylinder. Luxury materials, cutting-edge technology, and an abundance of driver-aid features are all included inside the Jaguar F-Pace.

9. 2022 Infiniti QX60

Side view look of 2022 Infiniti QX60 parked at the city street.

The QX60, a midsize premium SUV with a starting price of $46,850, marks Infiniti’s first foray into this market. Trim levels Pure, Luxe, Sensory, and Autograph all exist. I’d go for the Sensory trim.

Standard amenities include heated second-row seats and a liftgate that opens and closes automatically when you move your foot near it. Front-wheel drive costs an extra $2000, but most buyers will be fine with that.

The CVT in the previous model has been replaced by a nine-speed automatic transmission in the 2022 QX60. The QX60 will continue to be powered by the 295-hp V-6 engine that was introduced in the 2020 model year. The new QX60 is still a front-wheel-drive vehicle, although it does have an all-wheel-drive option available.

The QX60’s towing capacity has been raised by 1000 pounds compared to the 2020 model. It has seven seats, can go 120 mph, and takes 6.5 seconds to go from 0-60 mph.

10. 2022 Volvo XC90

Front view of a black volvo xc90 driving in forest.

If you’re on a tight budget, the XC90 begins at $50,900 and offers 21 city/30 highway mpg. The three trim levels are Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription. 0-60 mph takes 6.5 seconds, and the top speed is 143mph.

Do you plan to pack a lot of equipment? If you plan on towing items, you’ll need at least 4,000 pound-feet of pulling power. Elegant and safe, the interior design is ideal for families with young children.

Additionally, an updated air filtering system, as well as a head-up display, are now included with the Advance package. It is now standard for the Climate package to include headlamp cleaning and a heated steering wheel as an option.

However, thanks to a 400-horsepower plug-in hybrid motor, the XC90’s electric range and fuel economy aren’t anything special. However, Volvo’s XC90 is one of the best three-row pickups in its segment.

11. Volvo XC40

A silver volvo xc40 moving on a wet road.

The many modern conveniences of a Volvo make it enticing to acquire one, but this model also has its unique character, piquing my interest. The first investment is $35,100.

Adding to Volvo’s excellent SUV lineup comes the all-new XC40, which will be on sale in 2022. The Momentum, R-Design, and Inscription trim levels are available for the T4 and T5 vehicles.

A turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 184 hp is known as the T4 in the base model. Powered at 248 horsepower, the T5 is the most exhilarating car on the road.

In addition to Volvo Pilot Assist, which comes standard on more expensive Volvo cars, the XC40 also offers a semi-autonomous driving system. Besides the large cargo area, the interior of the vehicle is designed well, with numerous innovative storage options.

It takes just 4.9 seconds for you to reach 60 mph. You’ll get 3,500 pounds of towing capacity and 23 city/32 highway miles per gallon of mpg.

12. 2022 Audi Q5

White front side view of the Audio SQ5 White colorway at Baden, Germany.

Featuring a bevy of high-end features and an exquisite style, the 2022 Audi Q5 starts at $44,495 for the sedan and $44,495 for the hatchback. Quattro all-wheel drive is standard on both the 261 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and the 362 horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrains.

From its touchscreen infotainment system to its optional digital gauge display, the Q5 is dressed out to impress technophiles.

Premium Plus 45 and Sportback Premium Plus 45, two of the 12 trim levels offered, are my favorite picks due to the high level of standard equipment and superior overall performance they provide.

A 4.5-second sprint to 60 mph is a nice sprint. That’s a speed of 130 mph. Compared to the Q5 40, the Q5 45 gets 23mpg city and 28mpg highway, whilst the 40 only gets 23mpg city.

13. 2022 XT5 Cadillac

A photo of cadillac xt5 car in a white color driving in the street during winter.

The XT5’s well-appointed cabin has plenty of room for everyone and their luggage, and it’s very quiet when driving. Options include luxury, premium luxury, and sports, with the base model costing $45,290.

For the best value, select the mid-level Premium Luxury model, which includes wireless charging, a hands-free liftgate, a heated steering wheel, and leather upholstery.

Our initial choice would be a V-6 engine paired with FWD. AWD is available if you want it. The XT5 has two engine options: a four-cylinder turbo and a V-6.

Brembo brakes and 20-inch wheels will be available for the XT5 sport trim in 2022. Other than that, the XT5 will remain unchanged for the 2019 model year. As an option, the turbocharged four-cylinder can be replaced with a six-cylinder, but neither engine is powerful or tuned.

When equipped with the base turbo four-cylinder, front-wheel-drive XT5s with a 22/29 mpg city/highway engine get an estimated combined 24 mpg. It takes seven seconds from zero to sixty miles per hour with a top speed of 130 miles per hour. Towing capability is 1000 pounds.
